When you are two of the top politicians in all of Washington, leading your party in both the House and Senate respectively, and you can not endure a TWEET, when you are so 'offended' you can not do your job - when you are so fragile and 'damaged' from a TWEET that you can not make it to a scheduled meeting, you should NOT be in the position of leadership you are in.
Chuck and Nancy Bail on Trump Meeting After His Tweet
'President Trump tweeted a preview of his meeting with Democratic leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi Tuesday morning, casting doubt on any progress they might make on tax reform because of their liberal agenda.'
The result was Schumer and Pelosi being so 'hurt' by the tweet that they 'ran for their safe place' rather than 'sack up' and attend the meeting with the President.
To justify Schumer and Pelosi's refusal to meet with the President, CNN's David Wright reported:
"Given that the President doesn’t see a deal between Democrats and the White House, we believe the best path forward is to continue negotiating with our Republican counterparts in Congress instead."
Gee, now why would the President express doubt over he and the top Democrats being able to reach a deal in getting tax legislation passed?
OH YEAH - BECAUSE SCHUMER ALREADY EXTREMELY PUBLICLY MADE IT CLEAR THAT THE DEMOCRATS ARE 100% COMMITTED TO OBSTRUCTING AND PREVENTING ANY SUCCESS FOR THIS NATION / ADMINISTRATION AS LONG AS TRUMP IS PRESIDENT.....
....and so they 'run away', proving the President was right.
