Many people say they don't watch TV, but what they mean is that by percentages of they don't... So it may not add up to what most consider TV watching to be. I have heard many say they don't watch TV anymore, but it's spoken of usually in percentages of. 5% dont qualify, 10% don't qualify, but 50% and above qualifies I'm guessing. The rest of the time is allocated for the inet, phones etc. This is why they make the statement I'm guessing. I have a relative that does crosswords, inet, puzzels, and probably watches two favorite shows on TV, and so when asked she says she don't watch TV, and would rather do the other stuff instead.

Well, I'll stream a show now and then. I do A LOT more reading than watching movies or TEE VEE though.

But, no, a lot of folks don't just sit on the couch and mindlessly zone out anymore.

If I'm at home alone I'll have a TV on to keep me company, but it's usually background noise to whatever else I'm doing- online, cooking, practicing my guitar, writing, cleaning even sleeping - some boring political crap can be a great sleeping pill.

Yeah, I have a friend that does that. He gets irritable with complete and utter silence.

I don't understand that, I really don't. I love silence, it calms me.

It makes me really think there is something to those conspiracy folks that tell you that TEE VEE and smart devices have embedded waves that train your alpha waves and hypnotize you. . . IE. . "PROGRAMMING."

Actually we own 38 acres here so,.
whenever I want peace and quiet there are lot's of deer and coyote trails
