This is hot !!!

I know this is off topic, but it must mean something when all the tokens I used to choose have been retired. ALL of them.

I never understood the meaning of the top hat until I joined Freemasonry.
The boot could also be construed as a portkey.
You mean, like the Old Woman In The Shoe ?!
Harry Potter.
I think it represented a hobo. Old Depression era symbol.
"There was an old woman who lived in a shoe;

She had so many children, she did not know what to do ... ".

That's all I remember from that rhyme.

Query: where did all the kids come from ??

"... she had so many CATS, she did not know what to do ..." would have made more sense to me.

I did not read any of the British babe's books on Harry Potter.

Did not see the movies either.
You missed a fun time. The books were better than the movies.

Well, dear, living in a shoe doesn't make a whole lot of sense either.

I never chose the boot nor the thimble.

I rarely chose the wheelbarrow either.

When I was in high school I really loved The Hobbit (book).

In college I really loved The Lord Of The Rings (trilogy).

In college during freshman year we had a Tolkien club.

THAT was fun !!!

That is a technical issue that never occurred to me.

I always just wondered about all the kiddies.

When I was a kid my mom was the school librarian.

She would bring home books for me in science, history, art history, geography, and stuff like that.

The Hobbit was probably my first fantasy land fiction book.

My favorite game now is Backgammon.

It is an ancient Greek game going back to times of Agamemnon and the tholos tombs of Mycenae.

I learned how to play it during grad school. My two best teachers were two Jewish friends -- one who was a tennis buddy and the other who was a girlfriend.

I learned chess at age 5 and became pretty good at it by high school.

Joined a chess club in college and got really good at it.

Just play for fun now but beat most people that I play.

Beat most computers too.

I would have loved that. I've read them all at least five times.

Poker is the most popular game right now, not counting the online video games that gamers play for real money. Some gamers make hundreds of thousands of dollar playing video game.

Yup, I must have read them all a dozen times and also crossed referenced them together.

Eventually I burned out though. Gave them away to a high school neighbor.

My edition was 2nd or something -- very valuable.

I belong to a poker club at a local pub uptown that has weekly tournaments and 4 open tickets to give to the 4 top champions in June to the WSOP in Las Vegas.

The tickets are worth $10,000 each.

We have 70 people who spend about $1000 each competing for these 4 tickets.

So the pub has a cost of $40,000 for the 4 tickets and they are making $70,000 on the poker tournaments. And it is all legal !!!

We studied game theory in high school advanced algebra.

A game requires an objective, rules, and a chance device token.

Chess is unique in that it requires no chance device.

I have heard that Chinese "Go!" also has no chance device needed.

I would imagine that the doggy and the kitty will be in the most demand, since 1/2 of all households have a kitty and 1/3 have a doggy.
Why are we suddenly going to animals rather than common household items. AND WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE BOOT?
I would like to have seen all animals.

This would then teach the kids biology:

A fish.

A salamander.

A frog.

The dinosaur is perfect.

The doggy and kitty are perfect.

An ape.

A man with a shovel.

A woman with a dress.

There -- that's 8.

But Hasbro surveyed people and that's not what they got.
Everyone hold their horses a minute! There used to be a man mounted on a rearing horse. No one has mentioned that.

In poker, the cards are the chance device items and shuffling and dealing them is the chance element.

Card like dominos came from ancient China and were brought back to Europe by Marco Polo.

The many wives of the Chinese emperors used these games to preoccupy themselves with. They were otherwise captive tokens who were fed and used rarely for sex. Very rarely. The Chinese emperor had hundreds of wives. More wives than there were days in a year.

I don't remember any such "cowboy".

Sorry.

Here is what it probably means:

Your mentality was/is completely different than that of modern kids.

Fair enough ?!
