They have lost their fucking minds, full stop period.

Where's this BdBoop character?

Don't tell me she abandoned yet another imbicilic thread she started, after being fully proven as a few fries short of a Happy Meal.

Cool!!! More must be done to limit the power of the Executive Branch.
Quite frankly, the White House has too many outs to circumvent the Congress.

The snag is will the right be saying that when a republican is president. I think not.

I would have said it when the retarded Chump was in office, I'll say it when the clueless professor is in office, I'll say it when the next bozo is in office.

What can Congress do to create jobs? Five Republican proposals. - REINS Act - CSMonitor.com

1. REINS Act
The signature jobs initiative for Republicans when Congress returns in September is an attempt to pass the REINS Act (Regulation from the Executive In Need of Scrutiny).

The REINS Act would require Congress to approve every major new regulation proposed by the White House before it takes effect. If Congress does not act within 70 days, the rule is void.

This would severely limit the power of the executive branch, since no regulations – such as the Environmental Protection Agency's regulation of greenhouse gases – could become effective without approval from both houses of Congress, a high bar. In this way, congressional Republicans are seeking to bring back to Congress the regulatory powers that have gradually devolved to the executive branch during the past 50 years.

Sponsors include Rep. Geoff Davis (R) of Kentucky and Sen. Rand Paul (R) of Kentucky. The bill is endorsed by business groups, including the US Chamber of Commerce, which is launching a summer regulation road show to boost public support.

Imagine, having checks and balances in government rather then a dictatorship. This has to be stopped...

Republicans and Democrats both back an overhaul to simplify the US tax code, but Republicans would use the savings from such a purge to lower the tax rate for business and the highest-income individuals to 25 percent, down from the current rate of 35 percent.

By comparison, tax rates for the highest-income earners were 69.1 percent in the first year of Ronald Reagan's presidency in 1981 and 94 percent the last year of World War II.

In addition, Republicans are calling for the extension of all the Bush tax cuts, including those for the highest-income brackets, now set to expire on Dec. 31. Republicans also favor allowing US corporations to repatriate profits earned overseas at a lower tax rate.

In a sharp disagreement with Democrats and the White House, Republicans say that the country spends too much, not taxes too little.

Same URL. :cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo: COMPLETELY unhinged, the lot of 'em.

Keeping in mind that this is an article on how the Republicans intend to create jobs. How do they think this will help?

So you're saying Democrats don't do that, change the rules based on their being in the White House or having power in congress? That's a Republican thing?

Killing the obama regulation machine will immediately boost confidence.

Government DOES NOT CREATE LASTING JOBS.
Private business creates jobs.
Government needs to GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY, LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE.
And maybe, just maybe I will decide to hire someone.
If I want to.
NO ONE has a right to a job. A job is EARNED.

You cannot convince a lib that any entity except government is effective at anything positive.
To the Lefty, private industry is not to be trusted.
No, these wackos would rather bet all of their ( and everyone else's) chips on Central Planning.
Never mind the fact that our federal government has EVER operated on time and within budget.
Libs view the government as potential. The unbending feeling that some day a check or some other freebie will land in their lap.

Damn right.

Anytime the representatives of the PEOPLE have more power to scrutinize a presidents potential disaster, it's a damn good thing. Left or right.

Just think, we wouldn't be wasting boatloads o' money in Libya for no sound reason right now had Obama been stopped from shitting all over the constitution.

Obama wouldn't be in violation of the WPR as he is at this exact moment.

freaking loons...

where are all the pretend constitutionalists talking about congress trying to usurp the power of the executive ... in violation of the constitution?

hmmmmmmm?? :eusa_whistle:
Go ahead and read the US Constitution and then find where the Executive Branch has the power you believe it to have.
The Framers gave the Legislative Branch the power to make law. The Judicial Branch interprets the Constitution and exists as an arbiter in the case of redress. The Executive Branch has limited power. It can steer the Congress, has emergency powers in case of man made or natural disasters, insurgency, threats from foreign nations.
The Executive Branch does not have the power to regulate, make law, deny or award. Actually, if you really want to get into a Constitutional argument, Obama, by his appointments of his "Czars" is in violation of the Constitution. In fact, many of Obama's actions are simply because he could and his supporters would let him get away with it.
The Framers limited the power of the Executive Branch in reaction to the monarchies and dictatorships. They wrote the Constitution to prevent the President from having the power to act unilaterally without the consent of the People or the States.
I am curious as to why this sends you to such hysterics. Obama is not going to be in the White House forever. Eventually there will be a conservative or a person of another ideology to which you oppose. So why the major freak out?
I'd also like to know where it is you got the impression that the Executive Branch had these additional powers.
This President must be reined in. He has done so much damage to the country with his policies. He thinks he is bigger than the nation itself. Obama acts like an elected king.

So all your other points have been disproved so you latch on to another one?

[[ There's 5 on each side. You've only touched on a couple. Not a good batting average so far]]

What is your current tax rate?

If that number was lowered you would have more money in your pocket that you EARNED to spend how you wish.
This would stimulate production and the economy better than giving that money to a brain-dead, out-of-touch government to do it for us.

Probably couldn't tell you....Still living at home with the 'rents. ;)

So you've sucked on the tax payer tit for 32 years? When is enough enough?

were in the hell have you been dipshit?.....the PO has not relied on tax dollars since the 70's....

They havent? Who keeps bailing them out? They lose billions every quarter.

33 Billion this year alone.

The Add they are running right now, is a complete Lie. When the PO breaks even or makes money we don't pay for it.

When it runs 33 Billion Dollar loses, Tax Dollars are used to make up the gap.
