The Women's March is Global

No they aren't. Not in the US. The ERA wasn't passed and was allowed to die - the only Amendment which had a strict time limit on its passage.

The ERA? Here's the inside scoop. Women are ... people ...

American women still don't enjoy the same rights and freedoms which women in other first world countries enjoy, like mandated maternity leaves, family leave, health insurance which pays for birth control and abortions, without unnecessary state mandated tests which they're forced to pay for, state mandated vacation time, subsidized day care, and other family friendly programs.

So women not having rights men don't have is not having equal rights. Isn't your head spinning from that one? You want those things, work them out with your insurance company, your employer, your wanting free shit for being female isn't a legitimate power of government

The Republicans talk about "family values" but every time they are asked to choose between the interests of businesses and corporation, and the American family, business wins out. Every.Single.Time.

I'm not a Republican and you know that, you dumb ho. Address the question.

So note you did not name a single right that men have in the US that women don't. Game ... set ... and match
In theory, women have rights equal to men, but not in practice. The sexes are ostensibly equal, but that isn't always how it works. Women are often paid less than men for doing exactly the same jobs. There are also many jobs that are traditionally thought of as being "for men" and some that are "for women" that have barriers to entry for the other gender. Unless there are laws that guarantee equal rights, there isn't much one can do about it because the same glass ceiling often exist industry wide.

Here are just a few examples:

  • Women Truck Drivers make 30% less than Men.
  • Women Housekeeping & Janitorial Managers make 34% less than men
  • Women Financial Managers make 34% less than men
  • Women in Retail Sales make 49% less than men
These are just a few examples. There are many more.

Jobs "for men" usually are impossible for the average woman to do as well as men do it, if at all.
Because you believe the average women could not do a job is that any reason to pay less to women that can? Women can perform over 99% of all jobs. That does not imply that every one woman can do everyone of them just every man can not.

For over 20 years, I had the responsibility of hiring in the company I worked. I must have interviewed a thousand or more people for jobs, both men and women, old and young, the disabled, black and white.

I can remember the advice our personnel manger gave me before the first interview I did, years before we had all anti-discrimination laws. He said, your job is to determine who can best do the job. Consider the person as an individual. Their sex, their race, their religion, their nationality are immaterial. We are not hiring a man or women, a black or white, a Jew or Christian. We hiring a person to do a job. If more employers would do this, we wouldn't need anti-discrimination laws in the workplace.

That's what virtually all of them do do. And the ones who don't hire the best candidates are punished by the market place. I'm in favor of companies discriminating against workers and customers. Better workers and more customers for me. Unfortunately, too few actually do and they don't last.

You're just spewing more of your stupid socialist rhetoric. Explain how in this immoral, bigoted country you live in where everyone but you discriminates we miraculously have an honest, integrity government that opposes and fights discrimination when they ... wait for it ... are made up of the same citizenry.

Your views, are simpleton, naive to the max. You don't grasp the world around you. You live in a fairy tale land in your mind where when you remove accountability from humans they do a better job, and nothing could be further from the truth.

The marketplace is the enforcer of hiring the best and paying fair wages. Government does nothing of the sort, little guy
The marketplace can only determine a fair wage based on what other companies within the business sector are paying. So if the average wage of women truck drivers are half that of men, then according to the marketplace that is a fair wage. However, that does not mean it is fair to pay women half what men are paid for doing the same job.

Only a perfect marketplace could be the enforcer of hiring the best at a fair wage. However, hiring practices are far from perfect. If within a part of the country or within a business sector, it is a commonly held belief that men make better employees than women, then companies will pay a lower wage to women.

Go talk to those companies then. Employment is a contract where the parties agree on certain conditions of the relationship between them. If either party doesn't agree to the conditions set forth in the contract, then they walk away. Meaning, if the potential employee thinks the wages offered are not sufficient then there is no way the potential employer can force the applicant to take the job...

The popular meme is that the Women's March is simply an anti-Trump march. But it isn't. It's a march for the recognition of issues important to women, that are being buried under the onslaught of anti-PC rhetoric that legitimizes "pussy grabbing" as no big deal and is chipping away at women's reproductive rights and freedoms. Trump is the first modern president who openly demeans women as sexual objects - and supporters find that acceptable.

The marches global - there are marches in all states and in countries around the world where women face far more serious issues, then we do here. It's a worldwide sisterhood.

Women's Marches Go Global: Postcards From Protests Around The World

Sister marches have been organized in all 50 states, and in countries around the world. They have been organized to express solidarity with the aims of the original march: opposition to President Trump's agenda, and support of women's rights and human rights in general.

Given the quirks of time zones, many of those marches kicked off before the event that inspired them. In Paris, London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Mexico City, Bangkok, Delhi, Cape Town, and other cities, protesters have already broken out their signs and pink hats in solidarity
Really?!

Women like Madonna and Katy Perry
who have made MILLIONS selling sex
and portraying women as sex objects!

Reproduction Rights?...like the octuplet mom!
Or, would that be allowing mass murder to continue?!
How bout responsibility and accountability!

Global...yeah, we don't just fund abortion here,
we fund it EVERYWHERE THROUGH PP!

WHERES THE PROTESTS THEN AGAINST PORNOGRAPHY,
TV SHOWS, MOVIES, LYRICS, KIDDIE PAGEANTS,
ADVERTISING, CLOTHING.....

SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU HYPOCRITICAL BUNCH OF LOSERS

YOU DONT REPRESENT REAL WOMEN
YOU ARE AN EMBARRASSMENT TO US!

OMG, you grew up in the United States and you don't know the first thing about capitalism? This is really sad. You are completely wrong, that is not how a "fair wage" is set. I'll explain it to you, sadly, but first another question. It's directly related.

Do you know what keeps prices in check in capitalism?

Jobs "for men" usually are impossible for the average woman to do as well as men do it, if at all.

Bullshit. Not all women can do all jobs, but then neither can all men. I know a woman who works as a bouncer at a punk rock bar. Not a job I could do, but the bar owner says she's the best bouncer he's ever had, and those who have underestimated her paid a very high price for their stupidity.

6 foot tall people can't be jockey's, and 5' 0" people can't be firemen or women. I was too tall to be a stewardess, but I could model. But being a jockey, or a midget wrestler was out of the question.
True. Some jobs can only be filled by women and some jobs can only be filled by men. Those are the exceptions. Over 99% of all jobs can be filled by either men or women. Where companies get in trouble is when they decide not to consider applications of a legally protected class because most people in that class would not be able to do the work.

When we speak of a fair wage in economics we're taking about the wage which is determined by supply and demand in the the labor marketplace but in a social context a fair wage is an equitable wage, one that is just.

The women have no message. They are very forgettable except for comic relief.

If they are so very forgettable, why are Republican congresscritters shitting their pants.
No one is shitting anything. The march was meaningless. It said nothing. Women got to wear funny hats and had the impact of a Pokemon hunt.
If you think marches of millions of people in hundreds of cities around the country and the world are meaningless, then you know nothing about political action. These marches are organization tools used to form political actions groups and increase membership in existing groups. My granddaughter marched in one Sat. and she just received emails from two political action groups which are planning further demonstrations, letter writing campaigns, funding raising, lobbying, etc..

And no, I'm not going to "shut the fuck up" about it either.

1) The market says your equitable wage is the value you bring to your employer. What is more "just" than that and who decides?

2) Also, what determines what is "supply and demand" for wages determined by? What drives that? Note I answered that in the first question ...

Stupid stupid bitches. How can anyone take these morons seriously?

Every woman on The Screeching March was either fat and ugly or thin and ugly, they all either looked young and frigid, middle-aged and frigid or carpet muncher, also none of them had ANY sophistication or sartorial taste.

No wonder Alpha Males run away from them and only Beta Cucks and Faggots drift to them.

The problem with the left is when they find a divisive issue to manipulate, they never want to give it up. So they just move on to wanting more and more, the leftist way.

Women don't have free healthcare, they have to pay for their own contraceptives and they even have to pay for an abortion! Um ... men don't have that either.

The free contraceptives one always baffles me the most. Any guy's going to pay for that for any woman they're remotely interested in and we don't want a kid unless we do. A woman having to pay for her own birth control? The guy won't pay for that? There's something fishy there ...

Never let a disaster - or a protest for any cause - go to waste. :p

I still find it funny how every woman who was asked what 'rights are in jeopardy' and what they were there to support not one could answer / knew! :p

ya ya ya... Vagina .... dead babies.... vagina.... white men must die.... vagina.... dead babies........There is the whole stupid women movement in a nut shell....

I love how so many people believe in 'equality' .... and then they / we participate in all of these 'divisive' Marches - A Women's march, A Latino's March, a BLM march, etc...

Why don't we simply call for Equality for EVERYONE and simply march for and strive for 'Equality' period?!
