The wifi on my tablet keeps turning on overnight. I turn it off and on manually as I don't want it connected or to kill my battery

I just started having similar tech problems last night on my new laptop.

Interesting. Tech support told to just leave the thing on the charger, and let it stay on, until they can figure something out. They assured me it won't wear out the battery . . .

Good thing it is still under warranty, it looks like I might have to uninstall everything, and send the damn thing in.
