Any movement can be reduced to two poles: the corporatism of slaves(germanism, imperialism) and the individualism of free people(American way).
The problem with analyzing movements is that corporatists are always about populism and labeling. Marxists imitated anarchists and progressives, Trumpists imitated the real Jeffersonian right, and the like.
Therefore, you should never look at the names of parties and their slogans, you should always look at the root: if a party declares the American Way of Individual Responsibility and the principles of the Monroe Doctrine, then it is our party, but if they are scammers who hid behind Reagan, but collaborate with the Axis of Evil - shoot them!
