You are arguing about income flow multipliers and not looking at your own data. The big returns are in payments for actual necessities: food stamps, emergency medical care, just in case cell phones, winter heating subsidies to avoid hypothermia and so on. No one is attacking that, what is being attacked is money that can be spent on sex, drugs and rock & roll. If you want to win that argument you will have to address that issue.

It's a toss up as to whether the Revolutionary War or Seven Years War was the most important war fought by Americans as far as the rest of the world was concerned. The loss of French Canada and later the Louisiana purchase made English the world lingua franca and as that phrase indicates France was way ahead in that race prior to 1763. The Revolutionary War is still reverberating as revolutions and independence movements worldwide draw inspiration from it still.

America's entry into WW II had little impact in the ETO. Stalingrad had already happened before any American boots hit hostile European territory and Germany lacked the troops, oil, copper and aluminum to win against Russia. The Pacific war was the result of numerous missteps, mostly American, going back to at least the Spanish-American War and maybe the Mexican-American war. (Not seizing the mouth of the Colorado, Baja and enough of Northern Mexico to have a massive and protected naval anchorage in the Sea of Cortez probably made Pearl Harbor inevitable.) Even if what you claim is true, that's 70% of the people that are using it as intended. You want to punish them because 30% aren't using it as intended?
