The Theory Of Evolution Is Completely Useless.

Without evolution no scientific discoveries would be possible.

Really? So before the theory of evolution there were no scientific theories?

Well then, to hell with Copernicus, Galileo, Isaac Newton,............................................

They would not have existed if we didn't evolve.

I mean if you believe in a supernatural beginning, they wouldn't have existed if if the supernatural hand of your god didn't poof us into being either.

Fine and dandy, where did the cell come from?
Didn't you get the memo? It just popped into existence all by itself. Please try to keep up. ^_^

Perhaps if you had paid attention in biology you would know that the Theory of Evolution never addresses where the cell came from. It is about how species developed and diversified. That is it.

See, it does not matter if you teach evolution or creation in school, kids won't understand either way.

When you're absolutely committed to an ideology, everything else is always going to be bogus.
Could you elaborate on that? I have no idea what you're referring to.
You have no ideas? Perhaps you need to evolve one?

There is an old say, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make the fuker drink."

When ignorant right wingers want to know something they do nothing. Why? Because they don't want to know anything of value.
Look at it, sitting in front of the internet, being connected to every college and university on the planet including every scientific organization. And there is sits, "Prove it to me". Just a lazy and ignorant bump on a stinky and floating log in a bowl.

See, it does not matter if you teach evolution or creation in school, kids won't understand either way.
Alas, they then grow into adults that don't understand science and spend way too much of their time on USMB.

The US public education system ranks around 48th in the world in science and math.
Well, of course.
When you have so many ignorant right wingers running schools that want to teach magical creation and "Bah Bull" as fact. These are the same people who voted for Trump because he is going to bring them high paying jobs where you don't need to know anything and better healthcare.

Well, don't hold your breath. We've already seen them lie about healthcare. We can't get a single Republican on the USMB to describe a single one of the "millions of jobs that are coming back" from, from............where are they coming back from? Cuz the ones that have come back were automated. You know, robots?

Sad. We rank just below Kazakhstan!

But Republicans ran on a platform of ignorance. They didn't want our children learning math and science. They said Common Core was fascist or communist or something.

The GOP also ran on repealing Obamacare and even voted to do it under Obama. However, when Trump was their to sign it, they all turned tail and refused to repeal it once again.

Unfortunately, people like myself are left with no representation. They probably are on board with most of this stuff.

Ignorant right wingers?

Let me ask you, who is a greater threat to life on earth? Is it ignorant monkeys playing in the jungle, or is it human beings?

Put another way, what is more a threat to mankind, is it the Bible, or is it a science that gives us WMD's, great uses for fossil fuels that cause global warming, or create genetically altered crops that may lead to asexual plants that die off?

Hmm. Which could it be...................

Could it be that our greatest threat is knowledge without wisdom, as the story in the Garden of Eden suggests that you scoff at?

Not true. Only a couple. Most Republicans like the thought of Americans suffering without healthcare. It's why their policies are designed to hurt the middle class as much as possible.

In fact, I challenge anyone to point out a single scientific discovery that couldn't have been made without evolution. Go ahead. I'll wait.............
Psst, we didn't land on the moon either

The Bible is not a threat, because it's a collection of myths and fables. A kitten is more of a threat than a Bible. It could stick a claw in your eye by accident.

Hmmm, not only racist - but anti-science

Awesome!

1. •Bioinformatics, a multi-billion-dollar industry, consists largely of the comparison of genetic sequences. Descent with modification is one of its most basic assumptions.
2. •Diseases and pests evolve resistance to the drugs and pesticides we use against them. Evolutionary theory is used in the field of resistance management in both medicine and agriculture (Bull and Wichman 2001).
3. •Evolutionary theory is used to manage fisheries for greater yields (Conover and Munch 2002).
4. •Artificial selection has been used since prehistory, but it has become much more efficient with the addition of quantitative trait locus mapping.
5. •Knowledge of the evolution of parasite virulence in human populations can help guide public health policy (Galvani 2003).
6. •Sex allocation theory, based on evolution theory, was used to predict conditions under which the highly endangered kakapo bird would produce more female offspring, which retrieved it from the brink of extinction (Sutherland 2002).
7. •Tracing genes of known function and comparing how they are related to unknown genes helps one to predict unknown gene function, which is foundational for drug discovery (Branca 2002; Eisen and Wu 2002; Searls 2003).
8. •Phylogenetic analysis is a standard part of epidemiology, since it allows the identification of disease reservoirs and sometimes the tracking of step-by-step transmission of disease. For example, phylogenetic analysis confirmed that a Florida dentist was infecting his patients with HIV, that HIV-1 and HIV-2 were transmitted to humans from chimpanzees and mangabey monkeys in the twentieth century, and, when polio was being eradicated from the Americas, that new cases were not coming from hidden reservoirs (Bull and Wichman 2001). It was used in 2002 to help convict a man of intentionally infecting someone with HIV (Vogel 1998). The same principle can be used to trace the source of bioweapons (Cummings and Relman 2002).
9. •Phylogenetic analysis to track the diversity of a pathogen can be used to select an appropriate vaccine for a particular region (Gaschen et al. 2002).
10. •Ribotyping is a technique for identifying an organism or at least finding its closest known relative by mapping its ribosomal RNA onto the tree of life. It can be used even when the organisms cannot be cultured or recognized by other methods. Ribotyping and other genotyping methods have been used to find previously unknown infectious agents of human disease (Bull and Wichman 2001; Relman 1999).
11. •Phylogenetic analysis helps in determining protein folds, since proteins diverging from a common ancestor tend to conserve their folds (Benner 2001).

Every example you gave involves a distinct branch of science, such as genetics and biology. The same discoveries would have been made if there was no such thing as evolution. You lose.

I laugh at creationism. I think it is a joke! Why? Because it took 3.5 billion years to develop human beings...I seriously, doubt such a god could come out of nothing out of nothing. Such a god would be so much more complex to boot!

It is much harder to explain. It takes blind faith and I don't accept that.

You have to try harder to find a real theory to compete with evolution.

It's a shame that you never evolved.

Suggest returning to the Paleocene Epoch around 65 million years ago when the first primates likely thumped their chests.

You'll feel much more at home there Pepe. :D

You simply said that the same discoveries in genetics and biology would have been made without evolution. But the discoveries he listed do specifically lean heavily on evolution as a basis for the research.

Why argue with a baseless claim?
