The right-wing platform for dummies

You know what makes poor people poorer?

Taxing them enough to pay for the out of control spending of government.

No.. this is no party mantra...

Poor people are what they are... does not make them good, bad, or anything else... but the poor, like the middle class or the rich or anyone else, have one thing we ALL have.. the freedom to live by our own actions, decisions, abilities, etc... the freedom to succeed or fail all on our own

One major thing that IS wrong with our country though, is coddling individuals with lesser results for the sake of votes and power...

Printing money to the point my dollar doesn't go as far.

Blaming Bush for high gas prices then blaming speculators, while not addressing the fact that we have limited drilling in our own country.

The working poor either get all thier taxes back or turn a small profit come tax time.

People like the OP think generations of families being on welfare over and over again is a good thing and helps them.

There is a huge difference between the generational welfare blood suckers and the working poor. The one thing that bothers me about conservatives is that they tend to lump both into one single group, that being the former. The truth is there are many more working poor than their are welfare hags.

Remeber how they (the left) explained that extending unemployment benefits forever would be good for the economy?

If that's the case, we should all quit work and go on unemployment. The economy would rock.

Ya think?? If WE all quit work,, where would our un employment benefits come from???? the tooth fairy???

No, we don't.

We actually do know the difference.

Under Bush, gas was $4.00 a gallon, and there were no restrictions on drilling. So obviously, limiting drilling is not part of the equation, or the reason for the current high prices.

But...but...I thought poor people didn't pay any taxes?

No.. the majority of them pay zero in income taxes (unequal treatment by government).. .everyone who purchases pays things such as fuel tax, sales taxes, etc...

but nice try

Anyone who buys anything pays taxes.

But to Two Thumbs point, the Fed is the one who makes things harder and harder and the middle/lower class than either party does. Their spending doesn't help but they wouldn't have anything to spend without the Fed's printing press or magic "credit-creation" wand.

Unless we develop an environmentally acceptable way to process oil from shale, then we are facing a diminishing resource for which the need is increasing dramatically due to growing economies like India and China. There is only one way for the price of oil to go no matter how much we try to suck a few extra barrels out of what is left here in the US. If we are truly serious about long term energy independence, then we will make a concerted effort at moving to other renewable sources of energy.

Poor people don't buy much, and food is not taxed. Try again?
