Pope Francis Warns Media Against Infatuation With Scandal, Citing 'Coprophilia'
Pope Francis is calling on those who use and control the media to avoid disinformation and "the sickness of coprophilia" — comparing a love of scandal to an abnormal interest in feces that can also include elements of sexual arousal.
An obsession with scandal can do great harm, Francis said Wednesday, in remarks that also cited people's tendency toward coprophagia (the eating of feces).
"I believe that the media should be very clear, very transparent, and not fall prey — without offence, please — to the sickness of coprophilia, which is always wanting to communicate scandal, to communicate ugly things, even though they may be true," the pope said in an interview with the Belgian Catholic weekly Tertio.

Irregardless of your personal opinion of Pope Francis, by almost any objective measure, the media has failed society in a big way. The fact that you single out the Pope while ignoring the self evident problem the media has become just proves you are blind to reality. I couldn't give a flip what you think of the Pope. The much bigger problem is how blind you are to reality.
So you come up with that bullshit because my thread was specifically about one person? LOL GTFO loon
No. I expressed an opinion about your lack of objectivity on your way to grind your ax.

LOL! You are whining about conformity and collectivism from a group is all about conformity and collectivism. Why not just criticize the sky for being blue?
Good gawd you are stupid today. I am not whining, I am complaining about what a single person said about social Marxism, not Christian conformity.

Christians fought other Christians to end slavery. Christians fought Christians to bring an end to the evil be perpetuated by Germany. Christians founded a nation that allowed religious freedom.

No. Socialism is all about conformity. Socialism intentionally denies examination. In fact there is no formal defined dogma. Instead there is only a vague, rosy notion of something noble and good, of equality, communal ownership, and justice: the advent of these things will bring instant euphoria and a social order beyond reproach. World socialism as a whole, and all the figures associated with it, are shrouded in legend; its contradictions are forgotten or concealed; it does not respond to arguments but continually ignores them--all this stems from the mist of irrationality that surrounds socialism and from its instinctive aversion to scientific analysis. Socialism dismisses its defeats and ignores its incongruities. Shafarevich points out with great precision both the cause and the genesis of the first socialist doctrines, which he characterizes as reactions: Plato as a reaction to Greek culture, and the Gnostics as a reaction to Christianity. They sought to counteract the endeavor of the human spirit to stand erect, and strove to return to the earthbound existence of the primitive states of antiquity. The author also convincingly demonstrates the diametrical opposition between the concepts of man held by religion and by socialism. Socialism seeks to reduce human personality to its most primitive levels and to extinguish the highest, most complex, and "God-like" aspects of human individuality. And even equality itself, that powerful appeal and great promise of socialists throughout the ages, turns out to signify not equality of rights, of opportunities, and of external conditions, but equality qua identity, equality seen as the movement of variety toward uniformity.

Socialism acts like a religion which worships big government and social policy. It is based on atheism and deification of man. It proceeds in almost all its manifestations from the assumption that the basic principles guiding the life of an individual and of mankind in general do not go beyond the satisfaction of material needs or primitive instincts. They have no distinction between good and evil, no morality or any other kind of value, save pleasure. Their doctrine is abolition of private property, abolition of family, abolition of religion and communality or equality. The religious nature of socialism explains the extraordinary attraction to socialist doctrines and its capacity to inflame individuals and inspire popular movements and condemn respect for any who believe in Christianity. They practice moral relativity, indiscriminate indiscriminateness, multiculturalism, cultural marxism and normalization of deviance. Their hostility towards traditional religions is that of an animosity between a rival religion. They can be identified by an external locus of control. They worship science but are the first to argue against it.

Why does that matter to you? Is anyone making you do stuff? You seem to be confusing establishing standard of conduct with enforcement of standard of conduct. Let's be honest, you don't believe in any of this so your argument based on the threat of hell is meaningless. In fact, based on the behaviors of many Christians, they don't act like they believe in hell either. So at the end of the day, stop being such a pussy when it comes to your idiotic belief that anyone is making you do anything. Grow the fuck up.

I would have to say that on the old Marxist meter, yours is further to the left than his.

Communism is naturalized humanism. Karl Marx

The propaganda of atheism is necessary for our programs. Vladimir Lenin.

...in order to charm the golden birds, out of the pockets of his dearly beloved neighbours in Christ. He puts himself at the service of the other’s most depraved fancies, plays the pimp between him and his need, excites in him morbid appetites, lies in wait for each of his weaknesses – all so that he can then demand the cash for this service of love. (Every product is a bait with which to seduce away the other’s very being, his money; every real and possible need is a weakness which will lead the fly to the glue-pot. General exploitation of communal human nature, just as every imperfection in man, is a bond with heaven – an avenue giving the priest access to his heart; every need is an opportunity to approach one’s neighbour under the guise of the utmost amiability and to say to him: Dear friend, I give you what you need, but you know the conditio sine qua non; you know the ink in which you have to sign yourself over to me; in providing for your pleasure, I fleece you.)

Conformity.
No. You have free will to choose. No one is forcing you to do anything. Do whatever you like. I couldn't care less. See?
