The only law that will disarm criminals, is a TOTAL BAN on guns, followed by confiscation

I can't believe anyone is so stupid as to believe what Australia would work here. The dumb a$$ media always brings up Britain and Australia, even to consider that has to strain all two of the brain cells of anyone thinking that is realistic to the breaking point.

If the government tried what those countries did. Someone care to guess what would happen??

No takers?
Since no one here cares to answer... I will tell you what would happen.
There would be millions dead on both sides, no matter the outcome.
There would not be enough cemetery space that is for sure.

I don't think so. I think after a few incidents, the police would stand down (If they complied with order for confiscate at all), and enforcement cancelled until the law was trashed. After all, they would be overwhelmingly outnumbered.

Looks like no one disputes that a 100% ban on guns for the entire law-abiding populace, followed by mass confiscation and a permanent, draconian police state to continually raid people's houses looking for guns, is the only way to disarm criminals. The "gun control" laws liberals have tried so far, clearly don't work. And the liberals know it.

Keep this in mind when you see them pushing for "more gun laws" or "common sense restrictions" anyway.

What if the NRA and the gun nuts stop standing on the neck of the CDC and allow a thorough study of gun violence, its causes and solutions?

Then we might be able to craft effective legislation.

Unless the NRA simply wants more gun violence in order to sell more guns, causing more gun violence, and the sale of more guns.

That wouldn't work either.
Only because they would get massive resistance from the American people, who know the country would be much worse off with such laws than without them.

Yet the Democrats continue pushing for more gun laws, knowing they have never worked.

What could the real goal of such laws, be?

No, you don't make 310 million guns disappear. Also, our borders are open, they import endless drugs through them, they can ship guns through them too. A total ban wouldn't work

How does studying gun violence make the guns go away, Holmes?

Traffic lights are useless then using the same logic

I like when liberals use words like "logic," it's a hoot.

So with gun laws, we disarm honest citizens without effecting criminals, so crimals get to shoot unarmed people.

that's like traffic signals ... how ... ?

I've been saying this for a while now.

Whatta ya know! Little-Acorn and I are on the same page!

Jesus must be coming back any second!

Because for a change little acorn got one wrong, ban and confiscation would not work.

You on the other hand are still consistent ... ly wrong

Not much point in discussing guns with Gun Nuts. It won't go anywhere. That being said, we should as a Society, begin to reconsider giving children firearms. Maybe there should be more restrictions and requirements in that regard. Adults who give children firearms should be held more accountable.

If you're gonna hand a 9-10 yr old child a firearm, you should have to go through a more stringent monitored process. You have to legally accept all responsibility for what the child does with that firearm. There should probably be age restrictions as well. We do that with cigarettes, alcohol, etc... To be blunt, too many dumb irresponsible adults are giving kids firearms. Too much of this is happening...

An 11-year-old boy is charged with murder after he fatally shot his 8-year-old neighbor, police said, and neighbors say it was because the girl wouldn't let him see her dog.

Deputies were called to White Pine on Saturday night where they found MaKayla Dyer on the ground with a gunshot wound to the chest. She was taken to a hospital, where she later died.

Jefferson County Sheriff Bud McCoig said the boy, who has been charged as a juvenile, used his father's 12-gauge single-shot shotgun to shoot and kill the girl from inside his house...

Where does it say the father gave this kid a firearm?

I agree with age restrictions, but do you really believe they have prevented determined underaged kids from obtaining cigarettes and liquor?

He allowed access. That's very common, especially in the South. I think it's time to require a more stringent monitored process in regards to giving children firearms. There has to be more accountability. We currently have reasonable laws in regards to giving children cigarettes, alcohol, fireworks etc... It's time to go in that same direction regarding firearms.
