When you listen to her you can tell she cares about people very much. But it’s not just her heart. She has very detailed plans for everything. I like Bernie a lot but for saying the same things for decades his plans seem to lack details and he has not shown a great ability to get legislation passed. Plus I fear his insistence on calling himself a Democratic Socialist will give trump a lot of ammo to scare people away in the general. All credit to Bernie for moving the nation’s agenda to include a lot of really great things. But no one is owed the presidency. We need to win and be very effective after we do.
Warren already created something that was very important in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. What we need more than anything is people protecting us from the big business interests that care only about themselves at the cost of our lives, happiness and health of our planet.
Warren is the most clear and focused on getting the corruption of big money and greedy politicians out of our government, & an Anti-Corruption Act will be her first order of business. As I said so many times during my run, we can’t truly fix the major problems we face without it. When it comes to climate, health care, guns, income inequality... nothing major gets fixed because we never make big structural change. I believe Elizabeth Warren will.
And since we can’t do any of it if we don’t beat the Orange Monster, the person has to be incredibly sharp and fearless. If you saw how she completely torched Bloomberg in just the first 3 minutes of the debate last week, you can clearly see how she will be able to eviscerate trump. He won’t know what hit him. She’ll come ready & will crush it.
