The Delusional Socialist Democrats do not want the Electoral College

How would electing a president by a national popular vote, instead of the EC, fundamentally change us from a Constitutional Republic to a Socialist state?

Yes, Trump won the popular vote in 30 states, Clinton in 20. Trump lost the popular vote overall by millions, and only won MI, WI and PA by 70,000 + or - votes.

Trump won the popular vote in 49 of the 50 states by 1 million votes, oh snap! As for MI, WI, and PA he should have lost them by 5x that amount they are blue states Trump's blue state victories were HUGE!!

That's fucking funny. Depending on which State you drop of course. Clinton's margin of victory in the popular vote would be closer to 4 million if drop the right one.

Should we vote by states or by people?

As long as we have a government that is solidly limited in scope and reach by the Constitution, I don't really care how we do our elections. If, as many leaders are pushing for, we dismiss those limits, totalitarian government will shortly follow, regardless of our election system.

The first thing I want to know is the Popular Vote going to replace it. If yes, then do they for see any inequities that smaller states will have verses larger states?
The electoral college was designed first to protect slave states, second to keep an unfit man like Trump from winning the presidency, third to maintain a strong voice for all states .

Slavery is no longer around... Clearly the EC has spectacularly failed in the second aspect... And the "strong voice" has come tp dominate american politics too much, as the president gets a minority of the popular vote, and the majority in the senate represents only about 15% of the country's population.

I would say it's time for a closer look at the EC.

The main thing for conservatives is that we the people are less involved in selecting the president.

We are not a Democracy! Our Government is a Constitutional Republic Governed By the Rule of Law. There would be no need to have any representatives of the people. The states with the Largest Populations would determine every election. If you live in Delaware, your vote will never count. I can not believe how stupid liberal socialists are?

Do you really think the vote in Delaware counts now? how many campaign stops did the candidates make in Delaware in the 2016 election?
