The Delusional Socialist Democrats do not want the Electoral College

The first thing I want to know is the Popular Vote going to replace it. If yes, then do they for see any inequities that smaller states will have verses larger states?
In my opinion it is a difference in ideology. The left, for the most part, does not seem to back federalism. Government is government, states are simply another level of management to make the singular government work.

In that view, there are no small states vs large states. There is no real governing principal for the states to even exist.

Does the EC do this?

When was the last time that Wyoming made the difference in an election?

The funny thing is that when Texas goes blue it will be the "right" that is clamoring for the end of the EC.

You do know at one time Texas was Blue and California was Red and no one from the right in my memory called for the abolishment of the Electoral College...

Every time the Electoral College elected a President that lost the Popular Vote it has been for the GOP...

So the chances of the GOP shooting theirselves in the foot and calling to end the Electoral College is unlikely...

Also you will never get a Constitutional Amendment ratified to change the process...

The Republicans have finally found a way to stop Democrats from voting.

Times have changed, normal rational thought has been replaced with hyper-partisanship on both sides.

Right now, Cali is getting bluer each election and Texas is getting less and less red. If the GOP loses Texas they have no avenue to win the White House

I do though agree about the Constitutional Amendment, I doubt we will ever have a new one again, comprise and working together has become to be seen as evil.

That's speculation. Fact is that the left is crying for the EC to end.

It is getting bluer and bluer due to immgration, illegal and legal. This is why they left wants it so badly. I get why politicals are pushing for it, but why does the average red-blooded American working in a blue-collar job in Michigan not see what is damage is being caused by our borders being insecure? Why can't they see that the left truly wants open borders and just what damage what will cause to our nation? It is a brainwashing is all I can think of.

Tejanos vs Chicanos is something people should study and not just think Texas Hispanic communities will just fall in line with California Hispanic communities...

Texas is truly a melting pot when it come to Mexican, Central and South American communities along with African and Middle-Eastern and Easter European communities throughout the State.

Texas has been a Minority-Majority State for a few years now and still the left has had a hell of a time winning this State and why?

Tejanos are usually Social Conservatives and business owners that look at their pocketbook first and then their traditional lifestyle second.

So as you think Tejas is turning Blue you should also look at Texas and it is Conservative Purple truthfully and if a Blue Dog actually ran for President Texas might just vote for them but someone like Warren?

You will win the Black vote but the Asian and Hispanic vote is a different story...

I wonder if you can see the irony of accusing me of making bad assumptions in a post filled with them yourself?

First off, I do not base the idea of Texas going blue one stereotypes of the races, but on cold hard facts.

2016 - Trump got 52% of the vote
2012 - Romney got 57% of the vote
2008 - McCain got 55% of the vote
2004 - Bush got 61% of the vote
2000 - Bush got 60% of the vote

There is a downward trend for the GOP candidate.

The Dems picked up two Congressional seats in 2018 and received 47% of the votes cast statewide, which is in line with the 2016 election.

Finally, not "I" nor "my party" will not win the black vote as they do not tend to vote Libertarian

Look at the numbers again and the numbers went up for Romney.

Trump is not going to carry the Hispanic vote no matter what but run Jeb and Warren loses the Hispanic vote.

So as you spew your numbers the trend went down because of Trump but the decline from Bush to McCain did not stay the course with Romney seeing there was a increase.

Also one of the seats in Congress was won by a more Conservative Democrat and could be lost again in 2020 because of Pelosi not doing anything on the trade deal with Mexico and Canada.

I know you think your Democrats will march to victory in 2020 but what happens if Texas stays red?

The EC was never an issue with Democrats until they lost an Election. Then, like a child not getting his way, Democrats throw a tantrum to get rid of it. Why was this not an issue when Obama won?

No.
because you are ignorant

if we didn't have the electoral college presidential candidates would only need to campaign and pander to half a dozen largest cities to win an election

the needs of the citizens that live in less populated rural areas can be ignored

Do you know what the word "trending" means? A small uptick for Romney does not change the trend.

As I said, I am not a Dem and I do not think Texas will go blue in 2020, that is just more stupidity from you.

I guess my mistake was assuming you were not just one more mindless partisan drone, but you have proven me wrong.

Have a great day.
