The Bush Tax Cuts got us in this mess:

the government is there to do the will of the rich and keep the people in line.

the will of the rich is sort of sacred. In a republican capitalist society steve jobs got rich by doing what he did. The poor don't make contributions like that. The rich got us from the stone age to here by serving humanity, the poor merely leech off the rich.

that's right, those military leeches who defend the right of private ownership for the rich make no contribution to society in a republican capitalistic society. :asshole:

who said they make no contribution???????????????????
you!!!!!!!

"Oh so that's the kind of con you are you don't really want to cut government you just want to limit government to doing the things you want it to do, I bet you're OK with having 2 million people in prison too you don't think we should pull back a little on trying to micromanage people's lives do you? I know you think you're a King the wealthy shouldn't pay taxes but the poor should do as they are told, I have chatted with a number of cons they pretty much all feel the same, the government is there to do the will of the rich and keep the people in line."

This of course was not directed at you, but some partial quotes can loss the meaning, in general I find that cons want a huge government limited to doing exactly what they want it to.

So perfectly stupid and 100% CON$ervoFascist. I Posted your quote for you already but you were too afraid to acknowledge it.

What does your dumb act tell you about your IQ and your lack of character?

Get the government out of the economy

Starting with patent law and ending with shoplifting!! hear Hear you are a true communist my friend!!!

We can keep the patent office, 90% of the rest of it can go away.

Wrong, I really do want to cut government. Limiting it to those things actually allowed by the Constitution would be nice.

Say what you want, it was not the tax cuts that got us in trouble.
No matter how you look at it, what got us into deep shit was 10 years of active war.

talk about saying what you want....you're kind of the king of that aren't you?

Fact is we were doing fine till passed those tax cuts, but yeah electing a Republican was a huge mistake all around you got that right!

You guys are both wrong, what got us into trouble was those GD ARMs and too easy credit. The underwriters and credit agencies greatly over-rated the mortgage backed securities that eventually failed and the the banking industry nearly failed.

The wars were not helpful, but the tax cuts did help boost the economy when we really needed it. Both contributed to the increased debt, but neither is really responsible for the situation we're in now. And BTW, plentry of democrats voted for both; it's kinda lame just to blame the repubs.

If we had not change fiscal policy we would have zero debt instead of sixteen trillion do you really think that would make no difference in how we face the current situation? BTW the 1993 bill passed with zero Republican support, and it was the Republicans that insisted that "Washington was taking in too much money" in 2001. It is lame to stick one's head in the sand and pretend these things didn't happen.

In 2001 in support of the Bush tax cut Alan Greenspan testified before congress that...
--that according to Abraham Lincoln most quotes on the internet are made up.
...The Bush Tax Cuts got us in this mess: ...At the time the total debt was a bit over 5 trillion, now we are over 15 trillion...
Sounds like you believe the '03 rate cuts lowered revenue and increased debt. You might want to know that the White House says revenue had been falling before the '03 rate cuts---

---and has been higher ever since. Increased debt is because spending grew more than increased revenue from the rate cuts. Without the cuts, debt would have been worse.

So your point is that the Bush tax cuts that were designed to correct the problem of "Washington taking in too much money" failed even on that front ?

Not my point. That's another one of those crazy rants from the other 'expat_panama' who's imaginary. We keep hearing from him indirectly from others a lot but nobody ever seems to have an actual link of him making those silly posts.

My point was that revenue increased after the '03 cuts.

Really? The Bush tax cuts saved taxpayers $1.5 trillion a year over the last 11 years?
Prove it.

there is no easy credit unless the Fed has a liberal easy credit policy!

To pretend that liberal government was not behind this depression is 100% willful ignorance.

No debt = No depression, it was the GOP in 2001 screaming about the government taking in too much money and they haven't changed a bit, what's the point of fixing the problem when the GOP will just fuck it up again?

No debt = No depression,

dear, this depression was mostly a housing depression, not a federal debt depression. Sorry!!

dear, since Jefferson, the Republicans have introduced 30 Balanced Budget Amendments and liberals have killed everyone of them. Newt's passed the house and fell one short in the Senate. Catching on now??? 100% of the energy for balance comes from Republicans.

So the lack of an amendment kept them from levying the tax needed to pay for the wars they determined needed to be done? That's bullshit! None of these have ever said that they would not cut taxes and send us back into a tailspin at the first chance they get, these guys are just trying to hock the country to the bankers so they can own it all.

BTW you're just another sheep being led to the slaughter.

Dear, if their had been a Constitutional Amendment it would have been illegal to wage war without taxing to pay for it!!! Notice how the easiest concepts are far over a liberal's head??

too stupid of course!! With a Republican Balanced Amendment what you describe would be illegal!! Newts passed the house and fell one vote short in the Senate . In fact, tax and waste Democrats killed all 30 BBA's since Jefferson.

Jefferson was a genius not a sheep. That is why he founded the Republican Party in 1792. It is the only reason there is freedom on earth today, although what is left is severely threatened by Democrats who spied for Stalin and a president who had 2 communist parents.
