Teaching Obama

1. "Reagan’s legacy affects us dramatically today in two ways. First, Reagan’s anti-Communist foreign policy and his military buildup hastened the disintegration of the Soviet Union. In the past eight years, America’s victory in the Cold War generated a half-trillion-dollar peace dividend. That peace dividend grows every year, and it fell like manna from heaven into President Clinton’s lap. The budget deficit is falling, not primarily because Clinton raised taxes and not primarily because the congressional Republicans committed themselves to a balanced budget, but because the defense budget is nearly $100 billion lower today than when the Berlin Wall came down."
Who Balanced the Budget Cato Institute

.

Wow, not often you see a rightwing neocon admit that profligate US defense spending is a major contributor to our crippling deficits.

Tell us , oh great libtardian wizard, where does military spending go? Who gets the money spent by DOD? Do you have any idea?

Never mind, I will tell you. Defense spending goes to american companies, american blue collar workers, many of them union members. Who do you think builds our planes, ships, tanks, ammo, uniforms, rations, boots, etc. Not the fricken chinese or mexicans---------------american tax paying workers.

So go stick your libtardian membersip card up your ass and move to north korea, ya fricken loon.

So our military in your view is essentially a makework project that we borrow billions from the Chinese to fund?

lol. No shit.

I miss the good old days when the RWnut line was that Clinton gutted the military in the nineties.

Now all of the sudden gutting the military was a brilliant idea to people like PC, but only because she's come up with a twisted piece of dementia that links it to Reagan.

gorbachev did it not raygus

Gorby would never have torn down the wall if not for Reagan.

Indeed.
The Leftist dunces are so amazed at Reagan's accomplishments that they make up stories that attempt to diminish them....

1. "SO ON WHOM or what do we bestow the title of the "evil empire's" killer? Was it Mikhail Gorbachev himself who pulled down what Lenin and Stalin had built up? It is tempting to finger Gorbachev, but this would ascribe too much wisdom and foresight to a man who wanted merely to reform, but not to relinquish, the empire. At no point, however, did Gorbachev want to yield Moscow's pride of place as the number two superpower. And he was blissfully confident that the risks were tolerable: "There is no reason to fear the collapse or the end of socialism", Gorbachev assured Romanian leader Nicolae Ceausescu three weeks after the Berlin Wall had been breached and three weeks before the Romanian dictator was executed by his own people."

2. "Ronald Reagan, though dismissed by Europeans as a second-rate actor and fondler of cue cards, possessed that magic faculty that separates run-of-the mill politicos from history-molding leaders. "I didn't understand", recalls Time's Joe Klein, "how truly monumental, and morally important, Reagan's anti-communism was until I visited the Soviet Union in 1987." He continues with a seemingly trivial vignette. Attending the Bolshoi Ballet, he was nudged by his minder: "'Ronald Reagan. Evil empire', he whispered with dramatic intensity and shot a glance toward his lap where he had hidden two enthusiastic thumbs up. 'Yes!'"

When an American president manages to pluck the soul strings of those who have been raised to fear and despise what he represents, he surely deserves the honorific 'great.'

1. Way back before the 'Dawning of an Error,' in 2008, we on the Right warned about Obama- not just his political nature....but about how untried and inexperienced he was.

Of course, events proved us right as well as Right.

His record of domestic as well as foreign policy failure is way longer than Freddy Gray's criminal record.

And, currently, his most egregious design: the Iran Nuclear treaty.

2. For purposes of edification, both of Obama/Kerry, and the dolts who support this administration, here is the way negotiations are carried on by the finest President of the last hundred years.
Read, and note well:

"Reagan was made from far sterner stuff than was his Soviet counterpart. His genial grin and wise-cracking demeanor concealed a spine of steel when push came to shove. Yet at their next meeting in Reykjavik in 1986, where Gorbachev would not budge on the "Star Wars" question, Reagan was decisive and unforgiving.

He recalls in An American Life how he stood up from the table to proclaim that the meeting was over. Then he turned to his Secretary of State:
"Let's go, George. We're leaving."

Like any good diplomat, Shultz was crushed by so much roughness, but Reagan was completely unfazed. Later on, he explained: "I went to Reykjavik determined that everything was negotiable except two things, our freedom and our future."

"Tehran (AFP) - Iran hit out Friday against US Secretary of State John Kerry, accusing him of threatening military action against Tehran if it fails to respect a historic nuclear deal sealed on July 14.
"Unfortunately the US Secretary of State once again talked about the rotten rope of 'the ability of the US for using military force'," said Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a statement.

Zarif decried what he called the "uselessness of such empty threats against the nation of Iran and the resistance of the nation of Iran", and said such remarks should be consigned "to the last century".

It is often....with metronomic regularity, in fact, that Leftists carefully remove the truth so that they can post lies.

Under Reagan, the debt went up $1.7 trillion, from $900 billion to $2.6 trillion.
  1. But….the national wealth went up $ 17 trillion

Obama ginned up more debt than all of the Presidents before him.

National wealth went up under Clinton too.

"...too."

It means 'also.'

So now you're running from your earlier post...."Wow, not often you see a rightwing neocon admit that profligate US defense spending is a major contributor to our crippling deficits."

Looka dat'....I've beaten you into submission again.
That's what happens when you lie.

Ask the folks in the countries that were freed when the USSR dissolved and you will hear one name more than any other. That name is Pope John Paul ll, the Polish Pope whose visit to Poland in 1979 began peaceful, but eventually led to violent riots and revolution that led to the collapse of the USSR in between 1989 and 1991. Thatcher and Mitterand are also given credit, but Gorbachev is generally ranked equal if not more important than Reagan. The collapse began before Reagan came into office and ended after he had left.
People in eastern Europe still believe the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul ll was the work of the USSR only two years after his visit to Poland.

Reagan's near-trillion-dollar bulge in defense spending transformed the global balance of power in favor of capitalism. Spurring a stock-market, energy, venture-capital, real-estate and employment boom, the Reagan tax-rate cuts and other pro-enterprise policies added some $17 trillion to America's private-sector assets, dwarfing the trillion-dollar rise in public-sector deficits and creating 45 million net new jobs at rising wages and salaries.

    3. Unemployment fell to 5.5% from 7.1% (Table B-35)

One can only wonder why Barack Hussein Obama (peace be on him) considers it so very important that Iran have a nuclear bomb.

And why any American would support that view.
Oh really? When did they get one?

not yet, but the deal ensures that they will get one (or more).
Wishful thinking how does it allow them to get the bomb? ....We have cut nuke deals before and they turned out just fine with countries that already have the bomb......But again this thread and the statements are mere words of dissatisfaction with a party and president and have nothing to do with reality....Yet the DOD says they got what they wanted out of the deal...

Clinton cut a similar deal with north korea---------------they now have nukes.

Something else Obama and Clinton could have learned from the finest President in the last hundred years:

People have believed in that forever. What a fecking genius. If you're a brainwashed twit.

I see your problem, blanko.....
...you're still with your first girlfriend, Barbara Millicent Roberts?

Raygun the chickenhawk covert moron was FOS, his only good acting job beside King's Row lol. We're lucky his bluster and flag waving bs didn't wreck Gorby and bring back USSR's hardliners.

States rights is code for protecting bigotry and regression.

Europe is leading the way on alternate energy- or was tyvm. The GOP is the worst on that and everything else. A bought off, lying, thieving disgrace. Bringing up WWI is nuts. WWII wouldn't have happened without Pubs wrecking the League and then the world economy AGAIN.

It's time to stop demonizing Iran and let them up. They are the youngest and best educated country in the ME- there's no evidence they actually want nuclear weapons but RW hysteria, and we've been screwing the hell out of them since oil was discovered there. They haven't invade anyone since before Alexander the Great.

I am glad you posted this, seriously. I want others to see the obvious ant-American rant, for Europe and Iran, against the Americas. This is what leftists/socialists support.

This is the base of Obama, the base of Hillary, the base of the NEW democratic party. Now then, you conservatives that are NOT registered to vote, can I give you any more of a reason after looking at this leftists diatribe, to do so!
Also fact, dingbat. Any argument? Pubs didn't cause the Great Depression. That didn't raise Hitler and Japanese militarists? It's not Anti-American pipsqueek, it's anti-GOP. Always a mess and ignorant voter base.

Ask the folks in the countries that were freed when the USSR dissolved and you will hear one name more than any other. That name is Pope John Paul ll, the Polish Pope whose visit to Poland in 1979 began peaceful, but eventually violent riots and the revolution that led to the collapse of the USSR in between 1989 and 1991.

See what I mean about the Left's fears of recognizing the great Ronaldus Maximus' accomplishments being turned into fairy tales?

Folks who try to downplay Reagan are the same sort who try to white-wash Franklin Roosevelt's fascinations with Stalin and Soviet communism.

Actually, Franklin Roosevelt caused, and extended, the 'Great Depression.'

His policies took a recession and made it into a depression.

True story.

How many times must your lies be corrected, Blanko????

2. Under Reagan, the debt went up $1.7 trillion, from $900 billion to $2.6 trillion.
But….the national wealth went up $ 17 trillion

Reagan's near-trillion-dollar bulge in defense spending transformed the global balance of power in favor of capitalism. Spurring a stock-market, energy, venture-capital, real-estate and employment boom, the Reagan tax-rate cuts and other pro-enterprise policies added some $17 trillion to America's private-sector assets, dwarfing the trillion-dollar rise in public-sector deficits and creating 45 million net new jobs at rising wages and salaries.

3. The benefits from Reaganomics:
(US Department of the Treasury)
    1. The economy grew at a 3.4% average rate…compared with 2.9% for the previous eight years, and 2.7% for the next eight.(Table B-4)
    2. Inflation rate dropped from 12.5% to 4.4%. (Table B-63)
    3. Unemployment fell to 5.5% from 7.1% (Table B-35)
    4. Prime interest rate fell by one-third.(Table B-73)
    5. The S & P 500 jumped 124% (Table B-95) http://www.gpoaccess.gov/eop/tables10.html
    6. Charitable contributions rose 57% faster than inflation. Dinesh D’Souza, “Ronald Reagan: How an Ordinary May Became an Extraordinary Leader,” p. 116

I love how these facts make you Liberal dopes cry.
You believe the Pub Propaganda Machine bs, Ill go with the rest of the WORLD.

Go.....as soon as possible.
I'm not going anywhere, hater dupe. I'm fixing your mess. BTW, you live in Canada lol...

YES, Reaganism worked, for a couple years, but this is ridiculous. See sig.

The Amazing and Mysterious Life of Ronald Reagan The National Interest

3. Instead, America bows under this:

3. I can solve all of the problems faced by this once great nation.
Pay attention:

a. Make the Constitution, once again, the law of the land.

b. Follow these instructions:
“I do not believe that the solution to our problem is simply to elect the right people. The important thing is to establish a political climate of opinion which will make it politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing. Unless it is politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing, the right people will not do the right thing either, or if they try, they will shortly be out of office.” Milton Friedman

You may rise.

How did you know i was puking in the toilet in response to your deflection?
