Tea Party

First, I must conclude you have no idea what socialism is. You might want to get educated on that.

I really don't care what you suspect. I watch the legistlation being submitted and draw my conclusions from that. If you prefer not to, that is your choice.

Before I offer the only definition of socialism that makes sense, why don't you tell me what you think it is?

Socialism is an economic system in which the means of production is owned by the community as a whole.

Close, but keep working on it.

I don't have to keep working on it. That's what the word means. I realize that using the actual definition doesn't fit a lot of folks agendas, but I can't help that.

Other than Wisconsin?

No. By all means, use Wisconsin. According the CAFR's, in 2008 the state spent $21.6 billion with $9 billion in human resources costs. In 2013 they spent $24.8 billion with $12.2 billion in human resources costs. So despite the hype, their expenses went up and the ratio of salary for state employees to total budget increased from a little under 42% to over 49%.

So tell me about Wisconsin.

Why is everyone, including you, whinging about the way Walker decimated the unions if he didn't? Is it because you are incapable of telling the truth?

I don't recall whining about Walker... ever. I don't live in Wisconsin so it is not my problem. If I'm wrong, please do refer me to the post where I mentioned Walker.

Now, what I did was take the actual numbers from the CAFRs (Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports) from the Wisconsin State government website. Its easy to do. I gave you those numbers and you go off on this irrelevant tangent - but I'm the one not telling the truth? You brought up Wisconsin, so I am assuming you are claiming they reduced their budget and government. Back that up with actual, supported facts. Show me how it was reduced, or admit you don't know what you are talking about.

So, by the silence I think I can conclude no one was able to find a single state government in which a "conservative" majority actually did what they say they want to do. Now, I'll bet you I can find lots of examples of those folks doing everything they can to curtail personal liberty.

You pay attention to what they do, not what they say.

I am putting this in the CDZ because I would like to have a rational discussion about the Tea Party and its belief system (for a lack of better terms). I will be the first to admit, I have never given the Tea Party a chance. I have my impressions of Tea Party members and their policies...I don't want to get into why I dislike the Tea Party because I do not want to pervert the responses.

To the Tea Party...please explain to me your beliefs and how you differ from the GOP. Explain it like you are talking to a 12 year old.
Simple:
The mainstream GOP and mainstream Dems hold virtually the same ideology and differ only in degree - indeed, the GOP is now where the Dems were 30 years ago.

The TEA party is to the right of the GOP and seeks to correct the unabated slide to the left in mainstream politics.

The Tea Party isn't a political party. They carry around copies of the Bill of Rights and say the Pledge to the Flag. They even clean up the area after rallies. The Tea Party is a political pressure group. Since the democrat party is hopeless, they work within the republican party to get the candidates they think best represent their conservative views. They ain't the enemy and they don't hold a candle to the OWS maniacs as far as the ability to call attention to themselves. They work within the system and usually they are out maneuvered by incumbents. It's everybody's dream these days to shake up the political system and the Tea Party has done it. You should love them for it.

Thats whats so whacked about the tea party haters, they all bitch about the mess inside the beltway, but the 1st group that shows any ability or true desire to effect some changes, they are torn into shreds. People that relate to the tea party ideas are not just Repubs, there are many dems, indies agnostics all walks. Its typical want change as long as i don't feel a thing.

They have no guts or integrity.

I'll toss up new york not much more needs to be said,a liberal run state if ever, the state is a mess financially has been for a very long time.

So who's the buggy man,pay attention to what they do not what they say works both ways sonny.

Besides empty rhetoric, manufactured issues, and anti-Government attitudes...what had the Tea Party accomplished?

Things take time, all the bitching and accusations put forth by people like yourself signal that much has been accomplished, they have people worried which is good.

The Dems controlled the house for 46 straight years, you think 10-15 years is going to even things out??

No guts no integrity

Repeat daily there are plenty that believe you, including yourself.

They got Washington D C. pretty shook up and scared.
So much so, that they lied and vilified them and changed the majority of peoples perception of them. They knew they had to nip this movement in the bud quickly before more got on board with it.
Many people now think that the Tea Party is only radical GOP, rather than many who are Dem's, Repub's and Independents and they are not radical. Being for the Constitution is not radical, nor is being Fiscally responsible.

How?

What is against the Constitution now?

The first two questions you should already know unless to don't read or listen to any news (TV or Internet) or watch any c-span activity on the House and Senate Floors.

The 3rd Question is everything the Federal Government does now that is not listed in the duties of the Federal Government in the Constitution in Article 1: Section 8.
All of the things the Federal Government is doing now that is not in that list of duties should be done by the States.

So the answer to the first 2 questions is nothing or you don't know.

As for the 3rd...did the government just start becoming unconstitutional under Obama? If not, then why the Tea Party movement now.

I'll be honest, my impression of the Tea Party is that it is nothing more than a hate group disguised as a political movement. I am not a fan of Obama, but he has done nothing different than his predecessors.

And my personal experience, going to a Tea Party rally, it was nothing more than a recruitment event for a White Nation group.
These two articles pretty much explain it all...I realize the teaper response will be something along the lines that I have been brainwashed or some other nonsense...but mind you, I have personally experienced this at a Tea Party rally and I see the hate and racism everyday by the esteemed members on this forum.

U.S.: Report Details Tea Party Ties with Hate Groups

Attack the sources, call me what you please. The evidence that the Tea Party is more than a movement by concerned Americans is hogwash. Too many tea party supporters advocate hate and revolution. I encourage you to read the articles and to click on the links in the huffpo article.

LOL you didn't read a thing did you,or refused to even try and understand.

What is this question you have had explained multiple times again?
Is it do I still have my fingers in my ears?? that one??

no guts no integrity

NO! I'm saying you should know and you do based on what you just said about them.

No it started under President Wilson and has gotten to the point that all of us are losing our freedoms.
It's gotten so bad that we the people can't do anything any longer without the pick and choose consent of the Feds.
The movement started under Reagan and finally came to a full blow-en outrage with the first Government Health Care Law that the far lefties wanted to pass and the 2nd one that was passed without 55% of the populations consent.

Attack?
This is the clean debate zone.

You didn't say anything. No guts, n integrity...is that it?

Talking to a teaper is like talking to a brick wall. They want to attack and accuse anyone who disagrees with them, but they refuse to answer simple questions or explain themselves.

I don't think it is possible to have a rational conversation with a teaper.

I never heard of the Tea Party until Obama beat McCain. I never heard anyone complain about the government being unconstitutional until Obama became president. I never heard of a desire for an armed insurrection until Obama became President. I never considered the GOP to be racist until the Tea Party perverted its views.

A bill was passed that we don't like...so you join hands with hate groups?

Not trying to flame, but on what FACTS do you base your impression? The "Tea Party" represents fiscally responsible Republicans and Independents who understand that, once the US Dollar ceases being the world's reserve currency and safe haven, interest on the national debt will bankrupt us. Just do the math.

lol
