Alan Keyes defends Michele Bachmann with a pretty good analysis of how and why the the GOP leadership is determined to torpedo her. The how:

. . . key members of the elitist faction’s leadership in the Democratic and Republican parties have embarked upon a scurrilous campaign of personal destruction aimed at discrediting Bachmann’s demand.

The why:

If successful, the campaign could bring about Bachmann’s defeat in the upcoming election, thus purging her from the GOP delegation.

Keyes does touch upon Clinton’s every excuse for living:

The real grabber in Keyes’ piece is his correct evaluation of Mitt Romney expressed in these selected excerpts:

Why GOP leaders slur Bachmann, defend Obama

First, let me point out that establishment Republicans are asking conservatives to support Romney while the GOP leadership is destroying conservative Michele Bachmann.

The Republican party’s Romney-strategy is not new

The country was in a different place for Bush the Younger’s two victories, but the Romney-strategy was first tried in 1996 “Vote for Bob Dole or you’ll get four more years of Bill Clinton.” and again in 2008 “Vote for John McCain or you’ll get Obama.”

“I’m the lesser of two evils” did not work in ‘96 or ‘08 and it is in trouble this time around because nobody knows where Romney stands on anything. To be precise he stands on both sides of issues he cannot avoid talking about, while nobody knows where he stands on important issues.

Clearly, conservatives better win super majorities in both Houses because there is no indication Romney will amend Hussein’s executive orders. Think about that for a minute. President Romney could easily amend an EO just as Hussein amended President Reagan’s 1983 EO 12425 placing INTERPOL above the United States Constitution and beyond the legal reach of our own top law enforcement officials. NOTE: A quick look at Eric Holder’s track record should tell everyone he would work hand and glove for INTERPOL.

If you took the time to read the links pick any one of Hussein’s EOs and try to imagine Congress undoing the damage it does. Democrats would tie up both Houses indefinitely if conservatives tried to neuter the effects of even one EO. Ordinarily, Congress doing nothing is a good thing. The opposite is true when it comes to erasing Hussein’s entire record.

Even assuming Congress could send a bill to Romney that neuters an EO there is no reason to believe he would sign it. Logically, Romney would not sign a bill that accomplishes what he could have accomplished by amending the EO in the first place. Ditto curtailing federal bureaucracies like the EPA. Only fools believe Romney would shut down a bureaucracy.

My point: It matters not who is president so long as Congress treats him like he is a king ruling over a nation of serfs. Private sector Americans are already in the clutches of oppressive government. A super majority in both Houses committed to fixing Hussein’s holocaust by overriding presidential vetoes is the only chance Americans have of reversing the march towards absolute tyranny.

Romney is making it impossible for conservatives to vote for him. His latest is that he has only one objection to the EPA:

“My view is that the EPA — if it keeps to its mission and does not use its power to foster or further an anti-carbon energy agenda — would be a more effective department,” Romney told the crowd.

Apparently, Romney is okay with the EPA doing the UN’s business in every other environmental scam.

How naive is this guy to think any UN agency will use it’s AUTHORITY for the good of the American people? Make no mistake on this. The EPA is a United Nations agency as is INTERPOL although neither is officially listed as a UN agency. In recent years INTERPOL has become closely aligned with the United Nations; so it is no stretch at all to assume the EPA is working with INTERPOL on enforcing a new category of crime invented by INTERPOL:

Romney either knows what is going on or he doesn’t. In either case he is a hard man to vote for. At least informed Americans know that Hussein is a UN-loving traitor. Once again, it is imperative that conservatives and concerned Americans elect a veto-proof Congress that will stand up to a president of either party.

Keith Ellison, D-Minn., she rebutted his scurrilously false characterizations of her actions with a meticulously footnoted response amply documenting the facts that justify her security concerns.
