Student Suspended For Sexual Harrassment - Wearing A Costume To Another School's Prom

you guys think we should live in a pigsty. :poop:
Nahhhh…it’s more like a pasture. Some parts have nice lush green grass and other parts have poop. Ya just gotta learn where to step. Just don't tell me where to step, and I won't tell you. Simple, it really is, I think we call it Freedom.
There’s a place for everyone.

yes...but does the crime fit the punishment? if this is true then I and you and everyone else in this board are guilty of pranks of the same magnitude...I cannot count the number of times that you and I and everyone else in here did not make light of sexual banter...the main point on this one is...was it appropriate...then we can all began to look at our own selves in a introspective way....we set the forum for the youngn's... then cry like banishees when they return our "Adult" banter...the question still remains..does the 'crime' fit the punishment for childhood stupidity...if so you and I and everyone else should share the blame! :halo: <<<call em like I see em!

I disagree. I would not 'banter' with 12, 13, 14 year olds. I wouldn't allow my kids, at those ages to have over $50 that they could spend in any way they chose-without an accounting-whether their money or not.

Then again, I wouldn't let them at those ages, watch 'R' movies either or something like Sopranos, etc.

The only types of 'jobs' kids at this age can do are babysitting, lawn/yard care, etc. Not talking 'major money' here. Seems to me that parents do have an obligation at this stage, to know what the kids are dropping more than $10 buck on. If they have the $200 and want an Ipod, ok if the parents go along with.

The day one of my kids came and said, "I think I'll dress up like a penis", I'd have a serious talk with and probably call a shrink. BTW, I do think the school that hosted the dance should have kept the kid away from the others. He should NOT have been suspended at his own school, as it was an 'outside' violation. However, most schools have 'deportment codes' which would bar him from sports and other extra-curricular activities.

When we can go to a movie and not see sleaze in almost every scene, when we can turn the radio on and not hear pornographic discussions, when we can turn on our TV sets and not see porn seeping into everything, when we can send our kids to school without them being exposed to porn, when we can drive down the street and not see porn shops in our neighborhood, when we can't see advertising containing sleazy sex everywhere rotting our society to the core...etc...when the sewer pipes pumping filth into our society are closed down...

...then we conservatives will leave you liberals/libertarians the fuck alone just as we wish to be "left alone". :spank3:

Quit going to "R" rated movies, invest in a CD player so you can decide what music comes out of your speakers, use the V-chip in your TV, home school your kids, and don't go into the porn shops...take responsibility for what you and your family are exposed to and quit trying to remove my right of choice in matters of entertainment. I also hear that they have whole communities in PA that you might feel more comfortable with...you might try moving.

Why are we always so quick to point the finger at everyone EXCEPT the parents, right off the bat? Put the responsibility for what your kids do where it lies.. In the home.

you do the time you do the crime, the little punk in the penis custome
did the crime not the parents.

But they should be the one dishing out the punishment not the school.

Why should parents have to go to such extreme lengths to protect thier children from smut? Why should porn be the norm that families who do not approve of it have to go out of their way to avoid?

Not extreme lengths..Just be aware of what's out there before ya let your kid see it...Extra effort? Not IMO.

Nothing should be considered too "extreme" when it comes to protecting your kids, and steering them in the right direction.

Used to be you didn't have to worry about porn and smut everywhere. Kids were not exposed to it as much because there was simply less of it and it was hidden, banned and regulated. Now it's ok for it to be everywhere. Why?

I don't see porn and smut "everywhere". I do see things on TV I didn't see 20 years ago, but wouldn't call that porn nor smut, although it pushes smut.

But ya know what I love? THAT OFF BUTTON.

so if you neighbors decide it's cool to screw on the lawn you'll be happy to close all your windows so the kids can't see?

The only extreme thing I mentioned was moving to Amish country, and I was being sarcastic.

Now who's being extreme?

Or, he could call the cops, and they'll get a hefty fine, since it's pretty much illegal almost anywhere you live.

I know---we have laws about this stuff---should we just get rid of them all?

Weren't you just the one saying that parents shouldn't have to go through such extreme measures to protect their children? Why are you coming up with unrealistic situations just to nitpick?
