When you nationalize dozens of privately held businesses...seizing their assets without compensation...should it come as any great surprise when nobody else will invest their capital in your country? It's a mix of both Capitalism and Socialism. Sorry to break it to you but Socialism isn't a government style. It's an economic style. And too much of Socialism Economics, like too much Capitalism, leads to downfall of any major economic system. You can have them by themselves only in small groups but never in large complex systems like major countries. It's like saying that you can have Communism or it's opposite, Democracy, in anything with any size or complexity for Governments.

You keep mistaking Socialism for a Government style. It's not. Yes, Sweden has many socialist programs and capitalistic programs and they work well together. But Sweden also guards against wide scale corruption which can be present in either Capitalism and Socialism which are economic systems and not government models. Most successful Government in the world are Federal Republics. Yes, you can call them other things and they even call themselves other things but they are still Federal Republics. The US is NOT even close to being a Democratic Government. It was never designed that way by our FFs and they never claimed that it was. From the City Councils all the way to the Federal Government, the US is comprised of a Federal Republic system. If you don't know what that is, I am not going to do a class in Civics 101 just for you. Look it up.

The problem we have in the US is that we have let many of your Capitalist and Social Programs get out of control and have allowed for both to get corrupt. In fact, even the Social Programs have been corrupted by Capitalism by a large mark and the Capitalist Programs have been corrupted by the Social Programs. Give some thought to that. To just single out your misinterpreted definition of Socialism as the only problem doesn't even get things started in fixing a damned thing. The ones that make the big bucks and crave the power from it just love to see you keep doing this. Since you are trying to make everyone look the way you want them to, the people won't be looking at the real problem and it just means more power and money for the real culprits.

Except there are NO Socialist Governed Countries. Just like there are NO Capitalist governed countries. Neither one of those systems are capable of governing a country. Much like Democracy and Communism can't govern a large country either yet you claim (and others do as well) that there are Democratic Countries as well as Communist Countries.
