This is the first time these black-led organizations linked to the decentralized Black Lives Matter movement have banded together to write a comprehensive foundational policy platform.

A coalition affiliated with the anti-racism Black Lives Matter movement called for criminal justice reforms and reparations for slavery in the United States among other demands in its first policy platform released on Monday.

The six demands and roughly 40 policy recommendations touch on topics ranging from reducing U.S. military spending to safe drinking water. The groups aim to halt the “increasingly visible violence against Black communities,” the Movement for Black Lives said in a statement.

The agenda was released days before the second anniversary of the slaying of unarmed black teen Michael Brown by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. Brown’s death, along with other fatal police shootings of unarmed black men over the past two years, fueled a national debate about racial discrimination in the U.S. criminal justice system.

I want reparations for my relatives who fought and died to free the slaves. One died outside Atlanta at the young age of 19. I figure his life and all those years since he died, is worth something close to $1,000,000,000.

These BLM freeloaders are doing nothing more than demanding something be given to those that weren't slaves funded by those that didn't own slaves.

They aren't owed a damn thing. Perhaps blacks should quit dropping out of school at a higher rate than anyone else, having bastard children at a higher rate than anyone else, and stop committing crimes at a higher proportional rate. If they'd do those things, you'd be shocked at just how better things would be. I understand they'd rather blame it on someone else because that's easier.

What they want is for those that weren't slaves to have something handed to them funded by those that didn't own slaves.

I am owed reparations as well. You see, a couple of my ancestors were unemployed during the time of slavery. All the cheap labor coming into the country lowered wages and raised unemployment (that's funny, it reminds of something in modern times) If slavery wasn't around they would have had a job. This would have given me a step up in life and I would be the CEO of coca-cola by now. I would be making millions each year. Where is my check?
