This thread is to poll as there are many EBOLA THREADS ALREADY.........

What say you?

Won't work and testing before they leave the area won't either.

So vote then. The CDC has test kits for testing for EBOLA.........They have the patent on that test kit. So it's not impossible, extremely difficult but not impossible.

And how is not impossible to ban the flights. Other countries are doing it. That doesn't mean people are traveling round about, but the passports show if they traveled through.

You'd effectively have to ban all international travel. If you get from, say, Liberia to Ireland, and then fly from Ireland to Canada, and then fly from Canada to the US...

...what do you ban?

Ever heard of a passport?

Ask katzendogz. According to him, it works for "EVERY OTHER COUNTRY.

Given what @NYcarbineer has said, just how would you accomplish these "travel bans"?

International flights direct to these countries END. Travelers to this country who have passports stamped via these countries don't get to fly to the United States. Again, I stated that by asking the passport question.

And again, I state that the CDC has the EBOLA test kits. They are using them over there now. While this is difficult, it is not impossible.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.........That doesn't mean that the prevention method would stop all from traveling, but at least you are attempting to stop the spread of the disease.

Should the rest of the world do the same then it would help contain it. Whether that is hard to do is not a valid reaction to this proposal which should have already been done.

No flights should be permitted to LEAVE the affected areas. Any that try should be stopped by any means necessary. Simple as that.
