Lots of weird stuff in the news with airlines lately. Doors flying off, tarmac accidents.

Do you want your pilot to be the most qualified, or do you want a DEI hire?

You keep using that word "DEI"....

Every single person ever hired for any job should be the best person for the job. The most ambitious, intelligent, responsible, and experienced should be the ones to be hired for anything.

It should always be the right person, NOT the right skin color or gender or sexuality.

And if the vast majority of the time if the best person is a white person or an Asian person then so be it. That's fair when you let the ones with highest potential rise to the top

Society shouldn't lower its standards to accommodate people who can't succeed on their own despite having a level playing field. We should raise our standards because we will find over time when standards are high eventually the majority of people will rise to meet those standards.

How about this?

If someone is hired based on a quota, the color of their skin, religion etc, it should be posted for potential customers to see. Be it a teacher, pilot etc.

Let us see if people have the confidence in metrics of a persons qualities beyond their skill set. Post it on the airline and let people decide.

Only an idiot business owner would choose a white employee over a black employee if the black employee was better qualified, more skilled, a better earner etc. The same rules should be applied across all domains be it teacher, pilots or burger flipper.

No link provided for your evidence this is happening....like anywhere.
BTW, unless you've been living under a bridge (troll), this isn't the first issue the 737 Max has had. :)

Jack is saying DEI should not apply to pilots. He just has a weird way of explaining it.

What about Japan? That accident appears to be the coast guard plane being on the wrong runway.

We've had runway incidents here as well. A consequence of an ailing Air Traffic Control system that mandates forced retirement, extra long working hours, and can't train and replace workers fast enough.

You are trying to say IT DOES apply to pilots. To make a cheap political point.
But this is not a factory job or a desk job that someone can easily be trained for.
It's flying a plane. Takes actual training, skill, and experience to do that.

So DEI should not apply to pilots or even building airplanes.

Isnt that easy to say?

My airplane crashed, but thats ok because it was built by black trans disabled little people.
