It should be noted, the film was put up after the crash, and the uploader has a bias.
That doesn't mean it isn't accurate, just there are questions as to that accuracy.

So, where are these Russian separatists getting these sophisticated military missiles? Russian launchers had been spotted in the area.

The problem is that the SA-11 is the technology that both sides would use. I am not separating Russia and the Russian backed separatists - they are the same group. Neither side has anything to gain by the attack really.

The idea that the Russian backed rebels thought they were firing on Ukrainian military jets makes the most sense - but I really have no idea what happened.

At this point, it's just "other reports".

Up until today Obama was Putin's boy and Putin was the man who controlled everything. Now Putin is Obama's boy and Obama is in control. Are you desperate, confused or both.

In situations like this, it is prudent to ask, "cui bono, who benefits?".

Russia has no reason to target civilian aircraft, and no benefits would come from such an attack. Where as an event like this benefits the Ukrainian Government greatly, they may now get the NATO/UN intervention they have wanted for months to finally quell the separatists in the East and bring Donetsk and Luhansk under their control.

Actually the separatists have been showing off their buk missile system all week, and bragged about taking down their third plane today, but when they found out it was a commercial airliner, pulled back that statement.

Something disturbs me about this story. I have read some reports that indicate the plane disappeared from radar after passing over the city of Kremenchuk. Yet the plane crashed west of Donetsk. I have taken that route by motorcycle and car. It is about a 300 mile trip if I remember right. Seems like a long way for a plane to travel after being hit by a missile. And Kremenchuk is on the Dnieper, Russian speaking city, so maybe considered eastern region, but more in the center of Ukraine.
