Is it dangerous to declassify this information? Absolutely; just as it was dangerous to engage in torture in the first place. Unless we fix this debacle though, we are destined to repeat our own blunders.

Further, this idea that such a report is endangering anyone is laughable at best. Will we go into a higher alert right after its release? Of course. Just like we do around 9/11, most major Muslim holidays and a host of other occasions. Those that are our enemies don't care about truth, honor, integrity or life. If we dint release anything they are not going to stop their plans or suddenly stop recruiting. If we release the report, they are going to do exactly the same thing as if we didn't.

"Torture" is also not going to scare them either. These are people that are willing to strap a bomb on their ass and blow themselves up. The ONLY thing that is going to stop them is death. The real reason to oppose such actions as we have taken is that they are unequivocally ineffective.
