Sanders: Universal Healthcare and Free College Aren’t Radical Ideas, They Are ‘Human Rights’

The ideas that all members of society should have access to a system of basic healthcare AND basic education regardless of their ability to pay

are simply commonsense ideas as to what a civilized society should be.

The uncivilized may disagree, but it is up to civilized society to render them powerless and irrelevant.
Basic...The operative. A college education is not basic. Brain surgery is not basic.

this is YOUR FREE healthcare and what you learn with your FREE EDUCATION
and of course Sanders, Hillary, democrat party will be just a few of the MASTERS who is in charge of it all

It’s only our money, so why check?

Via Daily Caller:

Convenience store owner Vida Ofori Causey out of Worcester, Mass. was charged in federal court Monday after pleading guilty to $3.6 million worth of food stamp fraud.

According to authorities, Causey abused the program between 2010 and 2014. Food stamps, officially known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), is run by local and federal agencies. It is overseen by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). She was able to scam the program by buying food stamp benefits from receipts for half the actual value.

“Causey purchased the benefits at a discounted value of approximately fifty cents for every SNAP dollar,” a press release from Department of Justice stated. “By so doing, Causey caused the USDA to electronically deposit into a bank account controlled by her the full face value of the SNAP benefits fraudulently obtained.”

How Just One Woman Defrauded Food Stamps Out Of $3.6 Million In 4 Years

Stephanie, you bitch more than any other poster about posters using biased resources. But you are the worse offender for using biased resources and it's not even close.
Your above post is another example of your complete hypocrisy.

This interview is amazing. As the Bernie Sanders campaign surges, the socialist senator continues to bring the national conversation back from the right after 30 years of bellicose class war rhetoric. In the clip below, he shames those (including Jeb Bush) who would cut taxes for the rich while stripping Social Security. Sanders states clearly that every other industrialized country invests in their own citizens and children and it’s high time that we followed suit. While Sanders is heavily-criticized for identifying as a democratic socialist, he embraces the label. Sanders says countries that abide by the principles of democratic socialism, like...

Sander has struck a chord.....With the slackers, parasites, people who refuse to work and believe they are entitled to the largess of others and those dopey college grads with useless degrees who find work as baristas at Starbucks.

Poor children who need healthcare are slackers?

What an unsurprising sentiment to hear from a conservative.
Oh please. Another idiotic all or nothing straw man statement...
Genius. Whether these people have government insurance or not makes no difference. All public hospitals are required by law to turn away no patient.
And let's suppose they DO have this so called "free" basic care program. The cost is still the same. Instead of the medical facility footing the bill and passing it along to those who pay or use their insurance, the taxpayers get that bill.
Its government moving the chess pieces around the board.

Oh whatever... everybody had/has access to free basic healthcare and a free public education. What world do you live in?

Free college is where?
In Bernie Sanders' head.

Bernie is a socialist and that's how socialists think.

Of course he neglects to let everyone know that nothing is free and every taxpayer in America will be footing the bill for his "free" Stuff.

Of course those that can't pay their own way will love it but the taxpayers will be getting the shaft yet again.

Oh and as for universal health care?? Who in their right mind wants the Government responsible for the healthcare of 300 million Americans?

The Govt. who has never done anything cheaply or well in its entire history.

The Govt. where everything turns into mountains of red tape, regulations and bullshit.

Yep. That's what we need. The Govt. in control of our health care. Good God. Talk about a moronic idea.
We are already footing the bill for your republicans war adventures and tax breaks for the rich so...We would rather it go to help the majority of us not a rich 1%.
Nonsense. That is more class envy pap

So you want to do away with the military? Is that what you're saying?

Nobody is under any illusions that it isn't "free".
Wanna bet?...If those who want it, do not pay for it, it is then free.....

I know you desperately want to take my words out of context. Unfortunately, today ain't your day, motherfucker. Tomorrow ain't looking good either.
Ahh. Name calling. YOU LOSE...
I took nothing out of context. You know what you posted.
Now, you may hurl another insult. Because that is all you have.

Fuck..... Odium ...... I've asked you to not agree with things I say. I don't want my posts tainted by having you signal agreement. You and I will never be on the same team.....until you lose the bigot chip on your shoulder. Understand.
No can do. I am absolutely in 100% agreement with Sanders on this. I doubt me and you 100% agree I rarely 100% agree with anyone...you take what you can get.

Welcome to the nutburger club.

He nailed it. If other people pay for it, it is "free" to the Obamaphone masses. They really dont care who pays for their free shit. As long as it aint them.

The greatest nation on the face of the earth ought to have the healthiest and most well educated populace on the face of the earth. No?

Silly nutters.
hey, if you are willing to surrender 50% of your earnings, you first. Get back to us and let us know how that works out..
And don't give me any shit about social responsibility or sacrifice.
the problem is that you libs want no one to be responsible. You look to government to bear responsibility. Which means you look to taxpaying citizens to do your bidding.
Here's an idea. Do the free college. But it's only for 4.0 or straight A students. Everyone else pays as normal.

We are the government, genius. We.....the taxpayers.....do our bidding. Unless we follow conservative policies, that is. Then we let unelected corporate donors decide what we spend our dough on. That's your preferred plan, dummy.

Educating our youth is the single best investment WE can make. It pays major dividends. Fiscally responsible liberals get this. Why don't you?

Wrong, we are obviously not the government. It never does my bidding.

People can only be educated so much. After a certain point the money you spend is wasted. We have long passed that point.

You COULD have a society where only the well off can be educated and healthy.

Why would you want that?

You can only have that where liberal government rules. If you have economic freedom, then that vast majority of people can afford to educate their kids. How could anyone stop them?

Peopl
Bernie is correct.
Nice. Ok genius. Who pays?....Nothing is free.
People that are already paying for war, foreign aide, more war,and tax breaks for the 1%. THE PEOPLE. WE. ME. MY WIFE. MILLIONS like us who are SICK and TIRED of paying for military adventurism and foreign bases and paying nations to be out friends and instead want our hard earned tax dollars spent on things to benefit US and our KIDS not the rich and the politically connected and foreign nations.
Ok...Where the hell is.......:blahblah:..
Found it.

Universal healthcare and "free" college are not rights.

If a society chooses both, that's their business. But they're not rights.

Both will eventually bankrupt the nation.

Democrats should win this election hands-down. But Bernie is leading them down the rabbit hole.

We decided that owning a gun was a right. We decided that worshipping the imaginary being was a right. We decided that selling dirty movies was a right.

Why would it be so preposterous to decide that receiving basic healthcare and a basic education is a right?

We didn't "decide" those things, we discovered them, just as Newton discovered the law of gravity. Rights are not arbitrary human creations. You are born with them.
