This may be shocking and over the top outrageous, But shouldn't politicians represent the will of the American voter? Shouldn't they actually find out what we, the lowly voters, want, before they take such measures? When politicians step over that line and create sanctuaries for illegals, they are deifying democracy at it's most basic level. We WANT TO BE PART OF THAT PROCESS! That is what is wrong with sanctuary cities. If we want that, fine, but don't impose it on us like gods from Mt. Olympus .

First they should follow the law. If they don't like them....change them. If they can't change them....then follow them.

What people are they obeying here? That's my concern, the rich wealthy elitist that profit from illegals aliens? Wealthy business of all kinds that exploit illegals have money, and money talks louder than the will of us plebes, the American voter. Apparently. We the people, don't want, nor do we feel a need to, offer sanctuary to illegal aliens. I would recommend we have a referendum on this issue and see were the cards fall. Let's see what the people truly want.

I am so tired of this issue, wish it would just go away. I am so tired of elected politicians over concerned with the welfare of illegal aliens above and beyond the welfare of American citizens. This isn't a civil rights issue, I am sick of this misleading treacle. Breaking up families, please. Did any politician actually ASK US first for permission to make the our cities a sanctuary to illegals? Did any of them? It's outrageous that that never happened.
