ROMNEY/RYAN....it's the ECONOMY stupid...

Romney's choice of VP reaffirms that his FOCUS is directly on the failing economy....

If anybody can help explain budget plans it is Ryan....

What budget plan is being talked about by Obama/Biden.....?

Yes, it's the economy. So why would I vote for someone who wants to give more tax cuts and increase our debt while at the same time ending Medicare so that as we retire most of us won't be able to afford healthcare? Romney has just doubled down on stupid. I'm predicting that this move is so bad that either Ryan will step aside for personal reasons before election day, or not only with Romney/Ryan lose in a landslide, but the House will go back to the Dems on Obama's coattails. Republicans really should be worried now, yet they are dancing in the streets. It's hilarious. By the way, Intrade has moved three cents already in favor of Obama being re-elected. It will be interesting to see where he is at the end of the day.

That the failed Ryan plan is now part of the presidential debate is alone damning evidence as to the idiocy of Romney’s VP pick. It is truly indicative of a republican ticket clueless as how to ‘fix’ the economy.

We have already experienced three and a half years of clueless as to how to fix the economy. If that fact alone does not shake your faith in the idiot in chief, nothing ever will. There is a slim possibility that Romney/Ryan will not do any better, but it is highly unlikely they could do any worse.

you cant even say the name of my party without insulting it you dishonest clown

my dear, there isn't anything Democratic about the Democrat party of today..
like we don't hear Repugs, Repukes, etc etc referred to the Republican party...

good grief

so its OK for you to insult while complaining of insults.

your a fucking hack who deserves no respect to complain of insults WHILE you insult

Look who's talking.

Immie

Some of Ryan's votes while in congress follow an economic pattern that's worked to the disadvantage of, at least, 90% of Americans while it's increased economic inequality in the US to levels unseen since 1928:

From Wiki:

"In 1999, Ryan voted in favor of the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act which repealed key provisions of the depression-era Glass–Steagall Act.[37]

"In 2002, he voted in favor of the Iraq War resolution, authorizing President George W. Bush to use military force in Iraq.[38]

"In 2003, Ryan voted in favor of the Medicare Part D prescription drug expansion, which has been criticized due to the fact that it is deficit-financed.[39]

"In 2004 and 2005, Ryan pushed the Bush administration to propose the privatization of Social Security; Ryan's proposal was ultimately not fully supported by the Administration and it failed..."

"In 2008, Ryan voted for the Troubled Asset Relief Program, the Wall Street bailout that precipitated the Tea Party movement, and the bailout of GM and Chrysler."

Paul Ryan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Voting to repeal Glass-Steagall helped light the fuse for the 2008 Great Recession.
Voting to invade Iraq on borrowed money will continue to spike US debt for decades.
Medicare Part D is corporate welfare at the expense of millions of America's most vulnerable citizens.

Ryan has Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Economics, so he can't claim ignorance or stupidity for his contributions to America's economic decline.

Ryan is a phony. He voted for every big spending Bush bill, including Medicare drug coverage, TARP, and the Iraq war. He's a partisan hack. If Mitt turns out to be a big spender, the little lap dog will be right there supporting it.

The Democrat focus will now shift to attacking Ryan personally (look at his hair!! His brother is a drunk!! He bullied a fag once!!) and his budget proposal.

The personal attacks will wither and fade quickly and then Obama and his filthy minions will have to discuss the one thing they hate discussing- Obama's dismal record of failure on the economy. Good choice!!

I think he lost the PETA vote when he came clean that he likes to catch catfish by shoving his arm down their throats.

Terrible choice. Florida is now Obama's and AZ may be in play. Obama couldn't have picked a better running mate for Romney.

Why in the world would Arizona be in play? We Arizonans haven't a reason in the world to like Barack Obama, and any number of reasons to want him gone.

did Congressman Ryan mistreat the family cat doyathink?

I wonder if Ryan has any sealed records that Axelrod can sue to have opened? That's Obama's go-to campaign move, after all.

Mitt will spend big on the Pentagon and fossil fuel entitlements; not that Democrats will turn on their 1% benefactors either.

There are candidates who don't serve corporate interests, but as long as a majority of US voters continue "choosing" between Republican OR Democrat, very little changes as far as War and Debt are concerned.

"Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein spent Wednesday night in a Philadelphia jail after being arrested at an Occupy protest against Fannie Mae, something not entirely surprising for a politician that throws around words like 'imperialism' and 'economic violence' while celebrating 'the battle that has already come to our streets...'"

"Enter Stein, whose key platform is the Green New Deal, a jobs program which she says will both build on the success of the New Deal in the 1930s and also help move the United States toward a sustainable, green economy. She also campaigns on drastically reducing military spending, in favor of abortion rights and against corporate personhood."

There are alternatives, but they can't win...yet.

Yes its a talking point. What matters is certain UE in certain states.the swing states. A state like texas which will go for mittens doesn't matter.
somehow blowing off a national 8.2% UE as just a "talking point" and then just being concerned about rates in swing states doesn't help your argument for Obama... :cuckoo:

Yet drilling is up and dependence on other countries oil imports is down 10%. Keep trying with that out dated talking point.
...drilling is up thanks to the Bush administration and dependence is partly due to slack demand because of a weak economy.....

See weather and oil...for the reason. Obama can't stop china from buying oil and growing.
yes Chinese demand is upping oil costs which affects food/gas costs....but Obama has done nothing to help tap our vast energy sources...

Again tired talking points
true.....we are very tired of Obama
.[/QU

Then you don't understand politics then. Shrug.

Lol no its up due to private drilling and if you notice gas went back up...so people slacking on. Buying isn't affecting it right now.

Why when private drilling is up. So let me get this straight. You are now whining that government hasn't done anything to decrease the price of oil, and ignore the fact private drilling is up....which gets the dreaded government out of the way persay...

Fuck you for trying to have it both ways...go back to your dumb birther threads
Fuck Obama....
The president counts oil among the energy sources of the past. Yet the Congressional Research Service reports the U.S. has at least 163 billion barrels of recoverable oil — enough oil to meet all U.S. needs without importing any oil for more than 50 years. As technology advances, so do our "proven" reserves. Sounds like an energy sour ce of the future to us.

Lifting our domestic drilling ban would dramatically lower prices.

It would also keep our money here instead of going overseas in what has been called the greatest transfer of wealth among nations in human history.

And yet ohio and pa is seeing an oil boom....private drilling is up, and the gulf is back to normal drilling wise....

Oh those are domestic drilling? You don't say....

Hahaha
