Republicans fail to make any rational argument why society must force full term gestation on all women. Their failed arguments are examined here:

How many women have to die before you recognize what overturning Roe have done?

You can't understand why women don't want to die having a baby?????? Especially since there are medical treatments which would both save their lives, and completely remove the risk of death from serious complications. That we don't want our daughters, our friends or our sisters dying either???? That takes a special level of stupidity on your part.

Well if you can't understand why women aren't willing to increase the risk to their lives in having a baby, maternal mortality in the USA already the highest in the first world, try staying out of things you don't understand and are none of your business.

Why don't you try holding the men responsible? No woman ever got pregnant without genetic material from a man.

The lead plaintiff in the Texas Law Suit, had an ectopic pregancy which is never viable. The fetus will always die, and the woman has about 10 minutes after it dies, to get medical treatment or she will die with it. There is no time to go to another state and have and abortion. Even though she was admitted to hospital to await the moment her tube burst, and her fetus died, so they couldd immediately save her life, she nearly died and may never be able to have a child ever.

Both this woman and her husband could have been spared all of this if her doctor could have admitted her to hospital and removed the fetus, when it was still small enough not to cause permanent damage, the moment the ultrasound revealled the ectopic pregnancy. There are 100,000 ectopic pregnancies in the USA each year, none of which has ever resulted in a live birth.

The Texas Judge upheld the right to have a medically necessary abortion in cases where the fetus isn't viable, and the woman's life is endangered. Specifically to cover ectopic pregnancies, and Ken Paxton, the impeached AG of Texas, has appealled that limited exception.

Why?????
How many women have died because it was sent back to the states? You keep making this claim, but can’t list a single name.

While I have no sympathy for the wealthy (Republican) women that have abortions, I do have huge sympathy for the millions of women that have abortions because they can't afford to have a child. Having a child condemns them to a life of abject poverty.

A very big reason for the very large percentage of abortions is the wealth disparity in this country. Even if a young woman works full time, she'll barely be able to support herself. Childcare costs more than they earn.

If you REALLY want to reduce the number of abortions in this country - START PAYING YOUNG PEOPLE A FAIR WAGE!!!!

Throughout most of history, an unskilled young man who was willing to do a day's labor could afford to support himself, his wife and any number of children.

Nowadays it takes two college grads with two incomes, and a whole lot of additional training to earn a middle-class income. It's obscene.

The main 2 reasons are low wages an incredibly overpriced housing.

Those are the biggest motivators toward abortion.
BIG YES,
if at the time in our younger life house prices were like they are now, We could not have then afforded to buy our first home.
And with this last serge in rental costs, We would have been forced out of a healthy working class into near poverty.

Not exactly! She said the ruling was correct. Justices found abortion was a “fundamental” right for a woman’s “life and future”, and that Texas had violated the rights of “Jane Roe” when an abortion ban prevented her from obtaining one. That decision was correct. RBG felt they should’ve limited it to that.

From your link:

True. You focused on one phrase I focused on another. I'm not lying. From the link: "Even RBG thought R v W went too far".

1. No one opposes state-by-state votes on abortion.
That is what is happening, and in most cases abortion is passing by a mile, like recently in OH.

2. Abortion is a "right" claimed by women. Republicans need to stop talking about abortions or they will never win another election.
If democrats want to kill their larvae let them.

3. Its actually more like "my body - my right". Do not antagonize women voters by threatening access to their abortions.
Fewer democrats is a good thing.

Yes. Yes they do. People who's mothers, wives, sisters and daughters who have died as a result of these laws, are stronglly opposed to the amount of time it is taking to hold these elections, because every day these bans stand, women are dying.

Obstetricians are leaving abortion ban states, because they can't give proper and timely treatment for pregnancy complications. Hospitals in abortion ban states are closing obstetrical departments for lack of staff and fear of being charged treating miscarriages leaving all women in the state in greater danger when pregnant.

Where abortion is banned, women who have misscarriages fall immediately under suspicion, particularly in cases where the impending arrival wasn't exactly welcome news.

Women with potentially life threatening but treatable pregnancy complications are being sent home until their complication are most definitely life threatening before they can treat the woman. One hospital in Florida told a woman more than 15 weeks pregnant "We're so sorry. Your baby is going to die, and we can't do anything for you, until you go into labour and expel the fetus on your own". She went into labour in washroom at the beauty parlour, and she nearly bled to death on way to the hospital. They took her to the closest possible hospital because she'd have died en route, if they drove the extra distance to her regular hospital.

Why did you lie that it was wrongly decided when RBG opined that it went too far but she never wanted it to be overturned over the “too far” part because it was not wrongly decided.

You lied moron. What does the phrase "Even RBG thought R v W went too far" mean? (Hint: its not correct)

What country are you from?

How many women have died because it was sent back to the states? You keep making this claim, but can’t list a single name.

We don't have names, just numbers. 861 in 2020, before Roe was overturned. 1205 in 2021.

There is also this link which you also won't read:

"In 2017, at a time when maternal mortality was declining worldwide, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported that the U.S. was one of only two countries (along with the Dominican Republic) to report a significant increase in its maternal mortality ratio (the proportion of pregnancies that result in death of the mother) since 2000. While U.S. maternal deaths have leveled in recent years, the ratio is still higher than in comparable countries, and significant racial disparities remain."

This is why the rest of the first world considers the USA to be a shithole. Women's health care is on a par with the Dominican Republic.

You do know that men help cause all unwanted pregnancies right?
So do women. But you think only women should be able to opt out of responsibility after the fact.

It takes both a man and a woman to cause a pregnancy, wanted or unwanted. And both, from conception, need to take responsibility for the new human being that they have created.

A man refusing to take responsibility means that the child will likely be raised in poverty, and without the benefit of an intact family.

A woman refusing to take responsibility often means that the child is simply murdered in cold blood.

Both of those should be regarded as completely unacceptable in any civilized society.

Ultimately, the thread title, “Republicans fail to make any rational argument why society must force full term gestation on all women.” is a lie.

We do have one, very strong, rational, compelling argument against abortion. The OP refuses to acknowledge this argument, and tried to lie his way around it, as do others who likewise defend the cold-blooded murder of the most innocent and defenseless of all human beings.

Our argument, which the OP refuses to acknowledge, refuses to address in any kind of honest manner, is this:
  • Intentionally taking the life of any human being is an extremely drastic act, which should only ever be done, should only ever be allowed, should only ever be legal, under extremely drastic circumstances. Without such drastic circumstances to justify it, it is one of the most serious evils that one can commit, and ought to always be treated as one of the most serious criminal acts that one can commit.
  • Abortion is nothing less than the intentional taking of the life of an innocent human being, and nearly always happens in the complete absence of any circumstances sufficient to justify any such killing.

Both of those should be regarded as completely unacceptable in any civilized society.
Therefore you are insulting a Great religion and that the Jewish people are unfit to live in any civilized community or society when they believe the sanctity of God created human life begins upon exiting the birth canal.

I am against abortion. That is not the rational, compelling argument I am looking for.

I know you have read the OP;

You are entitled to argue your heart out that abortion is murder.

The rational argument I am waiting for is why society must force full term gestation on all women. That’s because “society” in Ohio most recently, does not agree with your individual conscience that abortion is murder or evil or sin or immoral.

The failure of your argument is exemplified by the use of “should be unacceptable” because abortion was accepted when the American bastion of western liberal civilization was founded.
