He stated that the Gulf oil spill situation "started with the explosion on the deck of the Deepwater Horizon". What a moron. Obviously what happened 5000 feet down that lead up to the topside explosion was the start of the event. With idiots like this in charge do we have any hope of a solution?

Well, if you can make everyone believe that an explosian at the surface started this disaster, perhaps you can get them to ignore all the incompetance and deliberate decisions that involved the wellhead at 5000' down.
