PSALM 64 - A Prayer for God's protection - A Psalm of David

HEAR my voice, O God, in my prayer, preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked, from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity.
Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:

That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. They encourage themselves in an evil matter, they commune of laying snares privily, they say Who shall see them?

They search out iniquities, they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.

But God shall shoot at them with an arrow, suddenly they shall be be wounded.

So shall they make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.

And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God, for they shall wisely consider of his doing.

The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him, and all the upright in heart shall glory.

Psalm 64: 1-10

Yea, they shall wisely consider of his doing!

This is the Word of the LORD for 10/31/2014

The Book of Psalms is the largest book in the bible. It also one of the most read. It can be very personal and also very practical in its application. I believe the Book of Psalms has a message for every person. Reading the Psalms will lift your spirit, instruct your soul, give health to your body and by meditating upon them - beautify your mind.. King David encouraged himself in the Lord and these Psalms were written down so that you too can encourage yourself in the Lord!

Oh, a whole book of crutches.

Psalm 65

Praise, waiteth for thee, O God in Si-on: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.
2 O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.
3 Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.
4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.
5 By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:
6 Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power.
7 Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.
8 They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens; thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
9 Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water; thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.
10 Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows therof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.
11 Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.
12 They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness and the little hills rejoice on every side.
13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.

Psalm 66 - A Song of Praise and Worship

Make a joyful noise unto God, all you lands. Sing forth the honour of His Name: make His praise glorious.

Say unto God, How terrible are You in Your Works! through the greatness of Your Power shall your enemies submit themselves unto You.

All the Earth shall worship You, and shall sing unto You: they shall sing to Your Name. Selah

Come and see the Works of God: He is terrible in His doing toward the children of men. He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in Him.

He rules by His Power forever; His eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

O bless our God, you people, and make the voice of His praise be heard.
Which holds our soul in life, and suffers not our feet to be moved.

For You, O God, have proved us: You have tried us, as silver is tried.

You brought us into a net, You laid affliction upon our loins.

You have caused men to ride over our heads, we went through fire and through water: but You brought us out into a wealthy place.

I will go into your House with Burnt Offerings: I will pay You my vows.

Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth has spoken, when I was in trouble.

I will offer unto You Burnt Sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will declare what He has done for my soul.

I cried unto Him with my mouth, and He was extolled with my tongue.

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the LORD will not hear me.

But verily God has heard me, He has attended to the voice of my prayer.

Blessed be God, which has not turned away my prayer, nor His Mercy from me.

Psalm 67

Let All the People Praise You

God be merciful unto us, and bless us, and cause His Face to shine upon us. Selah.
That Your Way may be known upon Earth, Your saving health among the nations.

Let the people praise You, O God, let all the people praise you.

O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for You shall judge the people righteously, and govern the nations of the Earth. Selah.

Let the people praise you, O God, let all the people praise you.

Then shall the Earth yield her increase, and God, even our own God, will bless us.

God shall bless us, and all the ends of the Earth shall fear Him.

Psalm 68

A Song of Triumph

Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, let them also who hate him flee before Him.

As smoke is driven away, so drive them away, as wax melts fire, so let the wicked perish at the Presence of God.

But let the righteous be glad, let them rejoice before God, yes, let them exceedingly rejoice.

Sing unto God, sing praises to His Name: extol Him Who rides upon the heavens by His Name Jehovah, and rejoice before Him.

A Father of the fatherless, and a Judge of the widows, is God in His Holy Habitation.

God sets the solitary in families: He brings out those who are bound in chains: but the rebellious live in a dry land.

O God, when You went forth before Your People, when You did march through the wilderness; Selah.

The Earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the Presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the Presence of God, the God of Israel.

You, O God, did send a plentiful rain, whereby You did confirm Your inheritance, when it was weary.

Your congregation has dwelt therein: You, O God, have prepared of Your goodness for the poor.

The Lord gave the Word: great was the company of those who published it.

Kings of armies did flee apace: and she who tarried at home divided the spoil.

Through you have the lien among the pots, yet shall you be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.

When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon. The hill of God is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of Bashan.

Why leap you, you high hills? this is the hill which God desires to dwell in; yes, the LORD will dwell in it forever.

The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of Angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the Holy Place.

You have ascended on high, You have let captivity captive: You have received gifts for men, yes, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.

Blessed be the LORD, who daily loads us with benefits, even the God of our Salvation. Selah.

He Who is our God is the God of Salvation, and unto God the Lord belong the issues of death.

But God shall wound the head of His enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goes on still in his trespasses.

The LORD said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring My People again from the depths of the sea.

That your foot may be dipped in the blood of Your enemies, and the tongue of Your dogs in the same.

They have seen Your goings, O God, even the goings of my God, my King in the Sanctuary.

The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after, among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.

Bless you God in the congregations, even the Lord, from the fountain of Israel.

There is little Benjamin with their ruler, the princes of Judah and their council, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.

Your God has commanded Your strength: strengthen, O God, that which You have wrought for us.

Because of your temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto You.

Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter you the people who delight in war.

Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands to God.

Sing unto God, you kingdoms of the Earth, O sing praises unto the Lord. Selah.

To Him Who rides upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old, lo, He does send out His Voice and that a mighty Voice.

Ascribe you strength unto God: His excellency over Israel, and His strength is in the clouds.

O God, You are terrible out of Your Holy Places: the God of Israel is He Who gives strength and Power unto His People. Blessed be God.
