To be a Protestant, one must believe the Bible is the unerring word of God, without admitting the historical truth that the Catholic Church decided which books would be part of the Bible.
To be Protestant, one must believe Christ made a mistake in entrusting his Church to the Apostles 2000 years ago, and the situation was only remedied 500 years ago by the Protestant Reformers.
To be Protestant, one must believe faith alone saves, and good works mean nothing, despite the language of the Epistle of James saying otherwise, and Christ's parables clearly stating that people who don't help those in need are sent to hell.
To be Protestant, one must deny the truth of the Eucharist, despite the words of Gospel of John, Chapter 6.
To be Protestant, one must ignore that the Protestants are divided into thousands of denominations, while the Catholic Church remains unified under the authority of the Pope.
