Now when the Lord was about to take Elijah up to heaven by a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal. Elijah said to Elisha, ‘Stay here; for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel.’ But Elisha said, ‘As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.’ So they went down to Bethel. The company of prophets who were in Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him, ‘Do you know that today the Lord will take your master away from you?’ And he said, ‘Yes, I know; keep silent.’
Elijah said to him, ‘Elisha, stay here; for the Lord has sent me to Jericho.’ But he said, ‘As the Lordlives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.’ So they came to Jericho. The company of prophetswho were at Jericho drew near to Elisha, and said to him, ‘Do you know that today the Lord will take your master away from you?’ And he answered, ‘Yes, I know; be silent.’

When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, ‘Tell me what I may do for you, before I am taken from you.’ Elisha said, ‘Please let me inherit a double share of your spirit.’ He responded, ‘You have asked a hard thing; yet, if you see me as I am being taken from you, it will be granted you; if not, it will not.’As they continued walking and talking, a chariot of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them, and Elijah ascended in a whirlwind into heaven. Elisha kept watching and crying out, ‘Father, father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!’ But when he could no longer see him, he grasped his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.
He picked up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan. When the company of prophets who were at Jericho saw him at a distance, they declared, ‘The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.’ They came to meet him and bowed to the ground before him. They said to him, ‘See now, we have fifty strong men among your servants; please let them go and seek your master; it may be that the spirit of the Lord has caught him up and thrown him down on some mountain or into some valley.’ He responded, ‘No, do not send them.’ But when they urged him until he was ashamed, he said, ‘Send them.’ So they sent fifty men who searched for three days but did not find him. When they came back to him (he had remained at Jericho), he said to them, ‘Did I not say to you, Do not go?’
Now when the Lord was about to take Elijah up to heaven by a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal. Elijah said to Elisha, ‘Stay here; for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel.’ But Elisha said, ‘As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.’ So they went down to Bethel. The company of prophets who were in Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him, ‘Do you know that today the Lord will take your master away from you?’ And he said, ‘Yes, I know; keep silent.’
Elijah said to him, ‘Elisha, stay here; for the Lord has sent me to Jericho.’ But he said, ‘As the Lordlives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.’ So they came to Jericho. The company of prophetswho were at Jericho drew near to Elisha, and said to him, ‘Do you know that today the Lord will take your master away from you?’ And he answered, ‘Yes, I know; be silent.’

When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, ‘Tell me what I may do for you, before I am taken from you.’ Elisha said, ‘Please let me inherit a double share of your spirit.’ He responded, ‘You have asked a hard thing; yet, if you see me as I am being taken from you, it will be granted you; if not, it will not.’As they continued walking and talking, a chariot of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them, and Elijah ascended in a whirlwind into heaven. Elisha kept watching and crying out, ‘Father, father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!’ But when he could no longer see him, he grasped his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.
He picked up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan. Prayer list:
Pray for the owners and moderators of USMB that God will bless them and fulfill His plans and purposes for each of them according to His Word.
Pray for the Lord to minister to the people of USMB and that His will be done in the life of every member as it is done in heaven.
Pray for the Catholics on this board that God will reveal to them the victory of the cross and that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. Pray for their salvation and deliverance from Catholicism.
Pray for the families of those who were slain in Oregon. Pray that the LORD will avenge their blood and bring swift judgment upon all who were involved in the influence and misdirection of this young man, Mercer. '
Pray that the Spirit of the LORD will raise up a standard against Satan who is trying to come in like a flood this month of October and destroy all of his plans to harm children, adults, all those who are unaware of the wicked devices and schemes of the enemy.
Pray that God will expose the servants of Satan wherever they are - that the people will not be deceived and God Almighty will deliver his judgment upon the earth.
Pray that God will expose the false teachers in the churches and those who have infiltrated the churches to bring harm to the body of Christ.
Pray that God will send forth his warring angels to do warfare over the United States and destroy the principalities, powers, rulers over wickedness in Satan's kingdom, in Jesus Name.
Pray for a mighty revival of prayer, and a desire for holiness and obedience unto Jesus Christ throughout the United States, for true repentance and many souls to return to the LORD and be healed of their backsliding, In Jesus Name.
Pray for the blood of over 50 million babies to be avenged and that the Judgment of God will fall upon Planned Parenthood for their participation in the murder of these children.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Pray for the salvation of souls this month of October in Jesus Name.
