Post a Message to Israels Future Here.

I'm certainly not without understanding of what the Israelis find themselves forced to do at this moment in history, Hamas shooting rockets in to Israel is both stupid and wrong.

Now, if Israel were to stop shooting back and fully withdraw from their occupation, the fault in this conflict would lie ENTIRELY at the feet of Hamas.

Yeah, ok.

You're a philosopher who has never lived in this event.

Well done. :|

I'm a philosopher who thinks about the next 200 years, not the last 2,000.

How the HELL can Monkeys drive their Sentience back to the Stars unless they learn look forward?

I'm a philosopher of Monkey potential.

You kids ROCK!

You're a philosopher who sentimentalizes the dead when you haven't seen the full reality or lived there.

Most of those years, you will not be around to discover if your philosophy meets with the reality of the streets.

The stark choice between three options remains:

The population living in Israel can absorb the population living in Gaza, they can free the population living in Gaza, or they can outlive the population living in Gaza.

Outliving them still seems to be the preferred choice, and that option remains one messy mother-fucker.

Obviously, the 'wrong side of history' is defined by any given Monkey's opinion of the membership, and, assembling lists is made all the easier by the dog-eat-dog way Sentience is clawing it's way out of Mother Earth's incredibly rich biosphere.

:dunno: What next?

Does the future hold an endless blockade of Gaza?

Where do Israeli citizens see themselves in 10 years? In 150 years?

The Palestinians have had the deed to the Gaza for over a decade. At a time when everyone thought there was a hope for UNIFIED Palestinian state, Hamas chose to fight a war with the recognized Palestinian leadership for control of Gaza. It was a brutal conflict with Israel standing down for the duration. Hamas overturned the PA control over Gaza and became the government of the district. There is a blockade -- because Hamas is terrorist organization and not very focus on Human Rights or an Economy for their own people.

We (the US) blockaded Iraq for over 12 years. And not only did we control their military excersizes, we DENIED THEM THE RIGHT TO SELL OIL.. Which meant that they could not afford food and medicine for that rather large country. We KILLED 100s of Thousands of Iraqis with that blockade and daily bombings. And we did that we phony evidence and cause. YOU and I were a part of that.. OUR hands are not clean..

What THIS blockade is aimed at is to deny weapons to terrorists. PERIOD.. Israel is the major supplier of electric power and water to Gaza. Does NOT intercept any supplies that are not of military consequence.

Your expectation that it's all up to Israel to solve this problem is misplaced. The Palestinians were booted from Jordan and then Booted from Lebanon by the UN, and TODAY, Egypt will not even allow Palis to cross into their country for refuge from the war. It is NOT all up to Israel to forge a solution. Abbas and West Bank Pali leadership HATES Hamas. Abbas looks like a saint compared to that regime and COULD be a peace partner.

The citizens of Gaza OWN every inch of Gaza.. It's up to them to pick their leadership. I just posted a poll of Gazans (several in fact) showing that up to 70% of the folks DO NOT SUPPORT the rocket attacks from Hamas. It's up to THEM to speak out. Elections are coming up --- if you want RESOLUTION --- get the UN in there WAY BEFORE election day and assure that Gazans are free to boot Hamas out on their asses. You would see a major change in the situation...
Hamas overturned the PA control over Gaza and became the government of the district.
You must have missed the 2006 Palestinian elections. Hamas was the majority party in the PA. It was Fatah that was trying to overthrow the PA.

You must get your information from Israeli propaganda.

It's not all up to Israel Joe. The Palestinians were given Gaza free and clear thru the Pal. Authority. That govt didn't exist 18 months later because Hamas changed it's priorities from aid and social work to Civil War over the new gift.

Who can Israel negotiate with now? It does not exist. You can't give "a nation" to an unorganized mob...

MY note to Israel for the Time Capsule you started ---

Use those new strong relations with your neighbors -- Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon -- other interested Arab nations. The inter-religious Muslim clash has brought them closer to you. Have those neighbors do land swaps to exchange their refugee camps for a piece of land in Palestine that THEY donate and which is adjacent to either WBank or Gaza or Negev.. Draw the lines and security plans with help of these countries and form joint security/justice/admin govt to HOLD the land of Palestine IN TRUST -- until such time the Pali people can get their act together, agree on leadership and govt and stop sending their kids into the streets to die needlessly..

The fourth option is expelling them all to Tunisia.

Dear Israel,

Thanks for not blowing up Gaza! Congrats on the embassy finally being moved to Jerusalem--that issue was taken off the table. Thanks also for that flexibility with the electricity and water issue. They originally wanted you to provide free electricity. It must have sucked when Abbas made a power play and had the electricity reduced which of course impacted Israel's water after raw sewage kept flowing into the Mediterranean and began to impact your water supply. Also, it was nice of you to collect the tax money on behalf of the Palestinian Authority. Hamas warns cutting electricity to Gaza would be catastrophic

I know it's difficult to work with a group of people that can't figure out how to govern their own people, can't pay their bills and don't want to exert any effort into billing their own people and want to blame you for creating a humanitarian issue no matter which way you move.

It's a mess. And now it's a multi-generational mess. I can't fathom the tragedy of simply being unlucky enough to have been born in Gaza. It's not fair.

One thing that would help is if both sides considered the future and where this is going to end up a little more and worried less about retribution and revenge over the past.

The ongoing blockade is giving Israel a black eye. I almost believe that history will treat them better in the end if they just end it with a bloodbath and let the clean-up begin.

This perpetual war of attrition is getting uglier by the decade.

Not if the Tunisians build a wall and get the Gazans to pay for it.

Yeah, many people today dream about Jews stop defending themselves.

There is irony in the fact that, having been forced to exist in so many 'ghettos' surrounded by enemies, Jewish people have now chosen to form and live in the largest 'ghetto' ever, surrounded by more enemies than ever. The probability of a pleasant ultimate outcome of this situation is not good.
Anyone so disposed should pray for both those inside and near Israel.

Dear Isreal
You will find no safety or security until the islamics in your nation are either driven out or killed. Even the Christian Bible states you will find no peace until this is done. It's time you stopped any worry about what the world thinks and fufilled your biblical mission.

You should allow the islamics one year to move to Jordan. If they fail then attack the Gaza strip and kill any who remain. The West Bank should also be cleared. The idea that you can talk to or deal with those folks is foolish. The Gaza strip IS the birth place of every terrorist group known to man. Their death there could bring peace to the middle east in just a decade.

You CAN work with the Sunni but ONLY if you kill the Shia.

I don't think Jordan is interested anymore.

The reality is that no one wants the Palestinians. They have a tendency to set up camp and then try to claim the land which creates problems.
