Is Bernie Sanders too extreme to win the General Election?

Bernie is too extreme and Hillary is too corrupt.

Yes, Bernie is too extreme - but Hillary has not been proven to be corrupt.
That's right Hillary isn't a fucking criminal. Maybe on 'Uranus' but not in the eyes of every fucking sane person.....including a growing number of LIBs.

Funny? Not to the FBI pocahontas.
Both the Clintons will be charged by the FBI within a year.
If the C**T AG refuses to go forward with the charges she and the entire Obama White house will be a national disgrace which will cost the DEMs the next four elections. The best part is the C**T AG knows it and so does Bonobo.

Personally, I don't believe America is quite ready for his socialist utopia. Even if he would win the Democratic Primary and swing more moderate - he would lose many of his young supporters. I would guess that Republicans are salivating at the thought of facing Sanders in the General Election.

Bernie Sanders Isn’t Electable, and Here’s Why

The blunt truth: I just can’t see Bernie Sanders winning a general election. Three months ago, I thought it might be possible, maybe. But watching the campaign unfold as it has, and given some time to ponder how circumstances might play themselves out, I’ve become less convinced that he could beat any of the Republicans. He’d probably have the best shot against Ted Cruz. But in that case, as we now know, Mike Bloomberg would get in, and I think he’d be formidable, but I don’t want to get into why here. That’s another column, if indeed it ever needs to be written.

This column is about Sanders’s chances, which I think are virtually nil for two reasons.

Reason one: He’s not an enrolled Democrat. Understand that I say this not as a judgment on him, but as a description of what would surely become, were he the nominee, a deep, practical liability. Let me explain.

Now, the second reason. I think Sanders is uniquely vulnerable to scorching foreign-policy attacks.

My feeling that Sanders could win a general election was never strong, based on the usual stuff, i.e., 74-year-old socialist from Vermont. But recently I’ve been reflecting on these two matters, his lack of affiliation with the party whose standard he wants to bear, and his unique vulnerability to attack on foreign policy at a time when those issues are much more in the forefront of voters’ minds than usual. As I’ve written before, current general election head-to-head polling is meaningless, since conservatives haven’t yet spent a dollar attacking him. If he’s the nominee, they’re going to spend at least five hundred million of them doing that. And some Democrats, more likely a lot of Democrats, are going to run away from him. I can’t see how that ends well.

==========

I'm a Sanders supporter and plan to write him in if he is not the Dem nominee, unless something really drastic comes up.

I want him to stay in the race until the end because it forces other candidates to address the issues he brings to the table.

That said, we need a candidate with his values and outlook but with the charisma of a Kennedy or Bill Clinton ( not Hillary ).

I don't think he will win the election because of a lack of charisma and a lack of experience in upper level government especially in foreign policy.

How many times must he explain it already for you to pay attention?

why don't you explain it smart ass, this should be good because to date Sanders hasn't. Where is the 27 trillion just for his pier in the sky healthcare coming from?
Are you serious? You actually haven't heard him explain it? He has at every debate. The free tuition would be paid for with a tax on Wall Street speculation. His healthcare plan would be paid for with a tax hike on the wealthy and middle class that would replace their current higher premium insurance costs.

You do know that taxes pay for government spending right?

No he hasn't, any economist will tell you his plan can't be funded, it's an impossibility. This nation is 19 trillion in the hole as it is and you think it can pay another 27 trillion +? You're all on drugs
How do you not understand the concept of revenue? Any government spending is paid for With taxes. That is how it works.

You're an economic illiterate, we are 19 TRILLION in debt...think hard, that is debt, obviously taxes are not paying the bills. Go ahead and start taxing business and Wall st like your feeble old coot wants....then watch them flee
===========
If they flee then we just raise import duties and fees and taxes on their products they will still want to sell here.

They might move company headquarters but without the American market they will not have any profits to worry about being taxed.

I believe The FBI is waiting until the election is over to decide whether to proceed with any of this.

If the Democrat Party wins they'll want to keep their jobs so will quietly shred and/or burn everything.

If any Republican wins they'll want to keep their jobs so will openly shred and/or burn Mrs. Rodham-Clinton/Lewinsky.

Patience......

Maybe you haven't bothered to look...but there's a pretty fair market in the rest of the world these days too.

Anyone watching the debate on MSNBC between Bernie and Hillary? Bernie is scary stupid on foreign affairs.
