Photo Shows McConnell In Front of Confederate Flag. So ?

This doesn’t look good. Expect calls for
McConnell’s resignation.

The CSA was an enemy of the USA, no different than Germany or Japan in WWII.

The only difference is that the CSA never quit being an enemy of the USA
As I said, to call it an enemy flag, is to call 11 states of the US, and 100 million Americans, enemies. This is bigotry against a large region of the US, and you are the bigot.

The fact some states added it to their flags does not remove the fact that the CSA was an enemy to the USA. This fact you can not deny.

Mississippi added it to "our" flag to explicitly embrace Jim Crow, at the same time we mandated school segregation in our state const.

It's history. It happened. It was one of our most shameful periods. We should be ashamed of it. Not celebrate it.
Part of what should be ashamed of, was the Union invading many areas of the South, that had no slavery, and never even heard of the Confederacy. It was similar to US troops invading backward areas of South Vietnam, whose people never heard of the USA, much less ever attacked or threatened us.

Exactly where would that be?
fun historical fact

US Grant was the last POTUS confirmed to have owned slaves

Perfect right wing logic. Stupid and wrong, but perfect right wing logic.
View attachment 244026 Now go ahead and address his question. Are you arguing that slavery under the U.S. flag wasn't done on purpose?

Of course it was done on purpose. However, we came to our senses and fought a war to end it. We fought that war with the confederacy, because they didn't want to end it.

Somehow, I don't think most southerners would feel too comfortable having Hillary Clinton on their side.

I don't think ANYONE with half a brain would want Hillary on their side. Want to lose? Pick Hillary. The Hate America candidate.

War between the States was not fought to end slavery

emancipation became an issue late in the war & did not affect Southern States that did no secede, territories that were already occupied by the Union nor any area that agreed to surrender from that point on

Can you expand on this "regional kinship" that this flag represents that is so important to these definitely not racist southerners?
That covers many cultural things (music, food, history, etc) but in this case, we're talking about the Sons of Confederate VETERANS. That is people who lost their lives, fighting to DEFEND their homes and towns, from invaders coming from hundreds of miles away. Many of theses southern defenders (especially in mountain areas of the south) had no idea what the hell all these Union troops were doing there or why. Many southern mountain people knew noting of the Confederacy, or slavery, and many didn't even know black people existed. But they sure had no trouble seeing people shooting at them.

Its just a flag, its the job McConnell's Not doing to protect our country & the working person.
Supporting those who wish to own our government to gather wealth for them self's. that's what makes him a poor leader
Sorry but every statistic on "the working person" is currently exactly the OPPOSITE of what you're saying.

The working person j-has never been better off than they are right now, in 2019.

The U.S. chose to abolish slavery. The Confederacy chose to murder hundreds of thousands to keep and expand that crime against humanity.

Protectionist and his ilk cannot see the difference.

Boggles the mind.
What YOU can't see the difference of is the different things that the Confederate flag represents, including those things having nothing to do with slavery. THAT's what boggles the mind.

We don't all accept the left's definitions of things, - that includes the Confederate flag.

The CSA cannot be an enemy of the USA, because it WAS the USA.But this is all apart from the point of this thread, which you seem to not get.
Hunt: VETERANS.

That is irrelevant to the issue of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
