Pauls foreign policy is like a Jerimiah Wright sermon

Ron Paul appeals to people who have little ability to think, often through an over use of mind altering substances.

I'm Happy to announce you just supported Ron Paul's position.

part of one position of many. I've said on several occasions that he has some good ideas but just as many that are bad. Anyhow I'm done here for now. My kids want to play cod together so ill catch everyone later.

Merry Christmas

Translation = “Oh shit I never looked up Paul’s positions past talking heads saying Paul wants Iran to get nukes and Paul is an isolationist.”

I don't have to look up his positions. He spews his ideas on tv regularly.

Ron Paul actually blames the Clinton Administration as the most proximate cause of 9/11. Big picture-wise, he correctly points to our entangled economic/military involvement in the region and there's really no debate as to whether he's right when you consider the historical reality of the situation. Take Saudi Arabia, where most of the 9/11 hijackers as well as Bin Laden himself were from. It's not anyone's opinion but rather fact that the Saudi Royal Family since 1973 has agreed to accept the $USD as the only payment for Saudi petroleum in exchange for major US military presence and protection from foreign invasion and domestic coup. For the majority of Saudis, the Saudi Royal Family is an authoritarian monarchy at best and the US military is what stands between the people and revolution. 1+1=2. When Saddam invaded Kuwait with sights set on Saudi Arabia, Bin Laden offered his protection in hopes of breaking the Saudi-US oil-for-military arrangement but the Saudis ignored Bin Laden and the US got to showcase their military might. This sent a clear message to Bin Laden that the Saudi Royal Family had zero intentions of ending their relationship with the US, so Bin Laden then shifted his focus to dissolving the relationship from the US' side and the only way he could do this was by making the petrodollar hegemony gained by the US via exporting its military to the ME not worth the threat of terror and civilian casualties inside the US.

Ron Paul is right about foreign policy and anyone who knows the factual history agrees.

Uh, Ron Paul's plan is to pull out of the Middle East, Europe and Asia then tell the world we're sorry for bothering them and they can carry on doing what they want without us.

I don’t think to much US involvement is good in Europe, Russia and Putin becomes very aggressive each time US involves in defence policies here. Europe and Russia has cooperated well the last years and do more and more billateral trade.

In Korea, I think the only reason North Korea still excists is because China wants to have a bufferzone between the US troops stationed in South Korea. The North Koreans are fed with anti-american propaganda daily. In fact any nationality can get a visa for North Korea except from USA and Israel. Neutral military troops have several times been in NK.

I think starting to trade with NK like US did with China is good, start trading with Cuba is also good. That will make them more friendly, having 40.000 soldiers placed on the korean borders just make the situation worse. They are also banned from Cuba without a special license.

I think that starting trading with Cuba and NK will do much good, and be a two-way benefit. Why US don’t trade with their neigbour Cuba is a mystery.

Think of it how the economy will grow when Ron Paul draws back 300.000 soldiers stationed overseas and let them spend money at the home-market creating lots of new jobs. At the same time two new trade partners especially the neighbour Cuba, that can give trade surplus. That will be a great stimulus to the economy, at the same time he can take care of the borders and illegal immigrants when the soldiers are home.

You talk like an uneducated European. I was just over there living in Europe this time last year, many of you are clueless to what is going on outside your city based on what the news decides to feed you.

Russia turns off the gas to Europe when they feel like it. Russia doesn't want Europe to have a missile defense shield to protect Europe from Iran's missiles....why is that?

We don't trade with communist countries to help prop up their regimes. Uh, their dictators will just keep any benefits of trade for themselves, they don't share the goods with the common person in Cuba or North Korea. The evil people that run those countries would gladly get more stuff from the USA that they will use up for their pleasure.

You sound like this dumb Irish college student I came across last January in Prague that was a so-called socialist. He claimed the USSR failed because the US and UK didn't TRADE with them. We were supposed to TRADE with the communists to help prop up their system.....what a joke.

Don't concern yourself with US military matters since you are clearly over your head in this area, despite coming across in a nice manner. Europe is lucky to have the US military protecting it from Russia.

I just heard this comparison on Fox News Sunday.

"Our chickens have come home to roost."

Made me laugh. Sadly the comparison is valid.

How many of Rev. Wright's sermons have you heard? One phrase from one sermon broadcast over and over and over on Fox 'News" is my guess. And that is why I hold that you lack substance and are a troll.

I've heard many of them on the net. The only thing lacking substance is your post.

Funny that, I did a web search and didn't find any. Only the usual out of context and inflammatory exclamations in opinion pieces. I don't believe you've listened to many, post the link so I don't think you're a fibber and a troll.

You're wrong, most of the military thinks he is a kook.

He blames the US military for our problems with islamic terrorism, he thinks if we came home they'd leave us alone.

Sure you might find a random twit in the military that likes his coward ideas, but stop the bullshit claims that he is supported by the US military overall. He is laughed at when he pops on the TV, I've seen it....

How in the hell do you know what "most of the military thinks"? Is your MOS to go around and take a political poll?

I was in Afghanistan during the election of 2004. I know just how full of crap you are. Political discourse is not something that the military readily engages in as it's considered unprofessional. I remember hearing the right proclaim how much the military supported George W. Bush, and thinking it was a load of bullshit.

That being the case, you can only suppose the military is of like mind with you.

For the only quantitative measure, campaign contributions, that can be used, Paul is winning.
It means nothing. Few people could be making those donations.

It doesn't indicate what military people think.

Nice crackpot history lesson.

Saudi asked for our help since they feared Saddam overrunning their country too with one of the largest armies in the middle east. I guess you thought it was ok for Saddam to invade his neighbor over debts he couldn't pay back and over their oil he wanted to steal.

As for UBL, he was a religious nut that took advantage of us being in Saudi for his own political advantage. We were on remote bases in Saudi but UBL was telling the idiots we were pillaging Mecca, of course they also believe we rape their women and flush the Quran down the toilet.

Ron Paul is just like UBL, someone taking advantage of lies and half-truths with morons that will follow him off a cliff. UBL in the end loved people like Ron Paul that would pull out of the middle east leaving a hole for him to fill and build up his army of terrorists to eventually destroy big and little Satan.....

Geez, you are an idiot.

You must live in a hole somewhere.

Uh....Iran might get bombed before the 2012 election.

Why? What did they do? What would be the political implications?

That's it? That's your answer?

Unfortunately, that's the typical answer that comes from your "ilk". You know the US helped undermine the democratic government of Iran and replace it with the Shah, right? Take away democracy and bring back the king? No wonder they're pissed.

Do you even know what kind of government they have now?

Or how that government is different than the one Republicans installed in Iraq?

The more questions you ask a conservatard, the more freaked out they become.

As one with no mystical nor occult beliefs, I find it hilarious that Wright and the White wing are so much in tune. They both insist America is "damned" if their "religion" is not followed.

Now this is especially hilarious. If you ask Wright and any typical white winger, they both insist that "Gawd" is against slavery and Jesus was against slavery.

The truth is, nothing could be further from the truth. Both accepted and promoted slavery.

Ephesians 6:5 NLT -->Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ.

1 Timothy 6:1-2 NLT --> Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. If your master is a Christian, that is no excuse for being disrespectful. You should work all the harder because you are helping another believer by your efforts. Teach these truths, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them.

Conservatards are always trying to hide behind the "Old Testament" when they promote Biblical Evil. But even in the "New Testament", slavery was not only accepted, but white winger deities even said, "Be the BEST slave you can be".

So Wright WAS wrong about what he said was in the Bible. Apparently slavery is a "good thing".

Not part of my belief system.

Let the right wing defend that!

Let's see....most people I've known in the military for 42 years spanning my dad's career and my career don't rush out with checkbooks for candidates.

They vote when it matters on election day and they support a strong national defense around the world.

Ron Paul is a kook and his foreign policy ideas are asinine, something a 13 year old would invent strung out on drugs watching MTV videos at 3am.

The MAJORITY of recent Vets and current MILITARY support our actions in Iraq/Afghanistan and would laugh at the idea of pulling out of Europe and Asia....to save money.

Only an idiot with no military background thinks we would have cheaper wars if we didn't have forward bases in Asia and Europe....see WWII.

I don't agree with most of what Paul says, to include shutting our bases down. Obviously a significant proportion of current active duty do and they are making that support known through donations.

That's quantitative and more relevant than your pissy little fits and insistence that your views are representative of the majority.

Your still an idiot though.

Russia turns off the gas to Europe when they feel like it. Russia doesn't want Europe to have a missile defense shield to protect Europe from Iran's missiles....why is that?
Ukraine stole gas, the pipes are layed in seawater outside ukraine to prevent this. Iran and europe agrees on israel-palestina. Europe wants a free palestina just as Iran. Iran did trade before the boycott, but US threatened to freeze the european comapnies on the NY stock exchange if they didn’t stop the trade. To you think that was right, to force someone to stop trading, how about the freedom to choose?. Iran is only a threat to Israel, and Europe dosen’t care about Israel, they are pro-palestina just as Iran.

We don't trade with communist countries to help prop up their regimes. Uh, their dictators will just keep any benefits of trade for themselves, they don't share the goods with the common person in Cuba or North Korea. You should!, trading with China has been a succcess hasn’t it? Cuba next?

War with afghansistan and no subsidies of Saudi oil was also important.

Don't concern yourself with US military matters since you are clearly over your head in this area, despite coming across in a nice manner. Europe is lucky to have the US military protecting it from Russia.
Their is no need, they are just spying and making the russians more aggressive.

Ron Paul wants to trade with them, getting more involved not placing lots of soldiers there. Why not trade with Iran,Cuba,DPRK?

But Ron Paul has absolutely right, more trading not isolationsim on the borders with soldiers. Ron Paul wants more involvement through trading not isolatinism.

Look at this clip where Ron Paul delivers a punch to Romney.
