Palestinians to form unity government

You are being unkind Eloy. The Israeli Jews calculate the number of calories each Palestinian in Gaza needs to avoid starvation and allows just enough food in meet that calorie count. Like the Nazis they, are very calculating, the Jews.

Wow. You guys are incredible. It truly boggles the mind. Israel is evil because they ensured, even during the height of a blockade, adequate calories and nutrition to the population of Gaza. How dare they!? The horror?!
It is obscene that the Israelis are counting the calories that should be allowed into Gaza in order to prevent a famine before the eyes of the world. This policy demonstrates the evil nature of Israelis who calculate collective punishment on the innocent.

Either Eloy is a Muslim or else he is a descendant of a Nazi who wrote propaganda for the Muslims. With all that is going on in the world, right away the great "humanitarian" snot nose runs to this I/P forum. At the moment, the Rohingya Muslims are amongst the most persecuted minority group in the world. However, the hypocrite Eloy runs right to complain about the Jews treating the Palestinians so bad when the Rohingya Muslim are being genocided. Anti-Semitic much, Eloy?

Why would anyone complain about the Rohinya Muslims on the Israel-Palestine section of the usmessageboard?

Food is the least odious part of the blockade. The other parts of the blockade are much worse. To narrow it down to food aid is to whitewash the real problems.
It is typically the Islamic terrorist huggers who are attempting to whitewash the Islamic problem. Without exerting control over Islamic terrorists, there would be no limits to the gee-had directed at Israel. You need reminding that Hamas has a written narrative describing their intentions toward Israel. That ideology has centuries of history and Islamics have a wealth of material to justify their atrocities. There is no other ideology that so categorically defines the world as "us" or "them". In the warped calculus of the Islamic holy warrior™, symbols of authority other than islam are legitimate targets. That’s why government leaders and representatives are often such targets of attacks.

Why would anyone complain about the Rohinya Muslims on the Israel-Palestine section of the usmessageboard?
Why would anyone complain about South African apartheid on the Israel-Palestine section of the usmessageboard... except to make comparisons to Islamist societies.

Gee whiz. How fortunate for people like you that Islamics create such a wealth of propaganda.

Actually you are incredible. You actually believe it is normal that a million or more people should be held trapped in an outdoor prison, a concentration camp, in the original sense of the word.
Israel should stick up a gateless wall on their border and not let any Palestinian enter their country.

Why would anyone complain about the Rohinya Muslims on the Israel-Palestine section of the usmessageboard?
Comparison, dolt.

Oh, I didn't realize you were comparing the horrible treatment of Muslims by the ruling Buddhists in Myanmar to the horrible treatment of the Muslims and Christians by the Jews. I didn't realize that was your intention. Good for you, you are coming around.

"The main Palestinian parties today announced a deal to form a national unity government prior to the holding of elections, after three days of reconciliation talks in Moscow."
Palestinian parties agree to form unity government
They have tried it before and failed. Will it work this time?
One of the weaknesses of the Palestinians in getting serious about having a state has been their inability to show that they can make it work. Perhaps the Paris summit on Sunday where over 70 nations urged Israel and Palestine to enact a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders are seeing this as a last chance before Israel becomes a one-state apartheid country annexing the Occupied Territories as it has done with East Jerusalem.

“The main Palestinian parties. . .”

the “parties” ??

Clarification....Which are the “parties” again ?

Him and them ?

Israel has already built a wall.
You missed the gateless part.
Palestinians shouldn't be allowed in Israel until they agree to recognize her as a Jewish country.

I didn't realize that you and your other hypocritical friends were so biased against the other unfortunate people in this world unless you could blame the Jews for their misfortune. I feel like a dope not realizing this because after all you are on this forum night and day so the pay must be good. Since the money given by the Palis which is sent by us is also used for notorious reason, I guess you are on the payroll too.

What does "used for notorius reason" mean. Nobody is against the Myamar Muslims, this is just not the right section of the site to discuss Buddhist oppression of the Muslims. Though similar to Jewish oppression of the Muslims and Christians, there are other section(s) to discuss it.

How interesting!!! Oppression is going on in practically the entire Middle East, but you don't want it brought up here because the Jews are not involved. Keep on trucking. The people on this forum are not stupid that they don't realize what you are all about.

If Abbas wanted a peaceful end to the conflict, a two-state solution and a prosperous future next to Israel, he would never even suggest a unity government, let alone actually hold conversations with Hamas. How is Gaza/Hamas going to be anything but a chain around his neck when it comes to peace and prosperity? Why would he want to bring ISIS-connected terrorists into his sphere of control when he can barely control his own population? (Not that he wants to).

If I were him, I would do the opposite. Make nice to Israel, Jordan and Egypt and use all of them to assist him to make Hamas go away. And then ask those allies and the world community to make nice, grand hotels on all the pretty beaches.

But would Israel negotiate with him if he doesn't speak for all the Palestinians? Hasn't that been a major sticking point with Israel?

Israel would be glad to chat with President Mahmoud Abbas until the cows come home. The man is starting his tenth year of his four-year term as president and he is seen by many Palestinians as a collaborator with the Israelis.
Mabrouk to Abbas on Tenth Year of His Four Year Term!
During his time as president, the Israelis have increased their settlement program, used the Palestinian Authority's police to arrest and hand-over Hamas supporters for imprisonment in Israel, and received money for the benefit of his lackeys. He is increasingly perceived by his own people as ineffective by losing so much to the Israelis who continue to occupy the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
Mahmoud Abbas: collaboration with Israeli army, secret police is “sacred”
His faction, Fatah, with the help of the Israelis, tried to usurp the elected government in Gaza before, so the suggestion that Hamas is out of the picture is wrong.
Fatah asked Israel to help attack Hamas during Gaza coup, WikiLeaks cable shows

The unity government will be under the auspices of the Palestine Liberation Organization which alone has the authority to speak for and represent all Palestinians.

Your collection of links really does outline, in exasperating detail, the debilitating issues facing the Arabs-Moslems occupying the disputed territories. The two competing franchises of Islamic Terrorism Intl., Inc., literally despise each other. Both franchises are competing for control of billions of dollars in UNRWA welfare fraud money. Those franchises fought each other in a rather nasty civil war that included kidnappings, street executions and torture. Neither side is going to relinquish control of their respective mini-caliphates to the competing franchise.

The notion of a "unity government" among Islamic terrorist franchises is a rather far fetched idea. Hamas vs. Fatah differs from ISIS vs. al Qaeda only in appearance: Khalid and Mahmoud were suit and tie, "al" baghdadi and Ayman wear man-dresses and turbans.

But would Israel negotiate with him if he doesn't speak for all the Palestinians? Hasn't that been a major sticking point with Israel?

Well, given that in order to speak for *all* Palestinians, Abbas has to speak for the ~50% who insist upon "no negotiation, no recognition, no peace", I'd assume Netanyahu would be pleased to treat with someone who only spoke for those who wanted peace and goodwill between neighbors. In fact, one would assume that would be preferred. The problem for all involved (Abbas, Netanyahu, Jordan and Egypt) is how to control the HoAP that none of them want.within their borders.

(Of course, all this is assuming that Abbas is not one of the HoAP and sees them as a problem and not the solution. But, I actually rather think that he and his government are part of the HoAP and not much different from Hamas in terms of ideology or goals, but only in terms of activity. This is pretty evident on Fatah's Facebook page.)

So, when Netanyahu says he won't negotiate with Abbas because he doesn't speak for all Palestinians, its code for "we won't negotiate with the wrong half of Palestinians".

That the Palestinians have decided to form a unity government will bother Netanyahu because the principle of divide and rule will no longer be possible.

But, you are stupid enough to think that this section of the forum should discuss subjects that have nothing to do with the Israel/Palestine issue.
