    My academic foundation is in philosophy, psychology, and the social sciences. My experience has been in teaching in primary and secondary schools in four continents.

    My favorite sport is horse racing. I enjoy watching live races on TV and seeing interviews with jockeys, owners, and trainers. My preference is for steeple chasing.

    I have an interest in music, preferably 'classical'. My first favorite composer was Shostakovich and I have added quite a few other favorites over time.
