Two different subjects. This thread is basically about settlements. I only rresponded to the question of the athletes because someone raised it.
As I said, I am not an expert in international law, but I believe that as horrendous as military attacks are in the Olympic context, an official national Olympic team is a legitimate target.
but basically I think we are all arguing above our skill level here. I think if this question were posted on a forum for a bunch of international lawyers to hash out, that would probably be a better venue and you would get better answers.
