Obama's biggest mistake

Obamas biggest mistake was that he was naive when he took office. He thought he would be treated the same as previous presidents and would have a Congress that was, as a minimum, willing to do its job

His treatment is driven by his actions. He refused to work with congress and instead tried to dictate to them.

His failure was brought on by his own actions and his narcissism

Note to the OP: It's rather illogical to expect someone who promotes race identity politics to have any desire to end racialism.
Bullshit.

You are welcome to GTFO of this thread in case you don't like it and have nothing constructive to say.

You said you were certain that Obama could solve America's race problems but you also admitted you didn't vote for him,

therefore,

you have admitted you didn't want America's race problems solved.

Oh piss off with that bullshit. He had a D congress and D senate till 2010 and a D senate blocking legislation he wanted blocked til 2014.

Work with what Congress? What bi-partisan compromise initiatives did the Republican Congress ever present to Obama?

The Republicans set a record for filibusters in that time period, which means, in the simplest terms,

much of what Obama and the Democrat majority wanted to do, they could not get past the GOP MINORITY.

I do not support Barack Obama and therefore didn't expect anything good from his presidency. There is one thing I was sure about though. I was sure a black president would be able to address racial issues in the US and finally solve them. For over 200 years America is being torn apart by ethnic conflicts, bigotry and misunderstanding. Black liberal president is a perfect candidate for this kind of change, yet he failed.

You're right, Obama's biggest mistake was choosing to use rhetoric that made the situation worse.

He campaigned on the promise he would unite people. The country's biggest mistake was believing him.

the GOP led house passed over 300 bills, not one of them was allowed by Reid to be discussed or voted on in the senate. Reid was, and is, obama's stooge.

When one house refuses to take up any bills, there is no way compromise can be reached, or even discussed.

this was the way obozo wanted it, so that he could attempt to rule by executive decree like a fricken king.

Sophistry, bub.

You're logic rests on the flawed assumption that Obama is THE ONLY ONE who could ever solve America's "race" problems.

In reality, the U.S. doesn't have a race problem; it has a Progressive-Totalitarian problem.

Obama has single-handedly done more about race relations in America than was done by any one or any group in the previous 50 years.

He has poisoned the well so thoroughly that there won't be another black (or halfsie) president for at least 150 years.

oh well , that was your all's first mistake. thinking Obama wanted to address racial issues..

If you had researched his church he attended for 20 YEARS that preached, Black Liberation.... you would know what he thought and felt in his heart.

SNIP:
FROM:The Marxist Roots of Black Liberation Theology Acton Institute
For black theologians, white Americans do not have the ability to recognize the humanity in persons of color, blacks need their own theology to affirm their identity in terms of a reality that is anti-black -- “blackness” stands for all victims of white oppression. "White theology," when formed in isolation from the black experience, becomes a theology of white oppressors, serving as divine sanction from criminal acts committed against blacks. Cone argues that even those white theologians who try to connect theology to black suffering rarely utter a word that is relevant to the black experience in America. White theology is not Christian theology at all. There is but one guiding principle of black theology: an unqualified commitment to the black community as that community seeks to define its existence in the light of God's liberating work in the world.

He thought we were all, greedy, bible thumping, gun clingers afraid of someone "DIFFERENT" than the rest of us.

Barack's comments that are generating all of the controversy: "You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them," Obama said. "And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

you were duped so bad. Now we are ALL getting to live through it.
thanks a lot

Because Scott Brown wasn't elected until Jan. 2010.

The refusal of the Republican Party to deal with the first black President on any terms will condemn them in history

Sure, just as Bush must fail was the democrat policy. That has been the case since 1776. Are you saying the black guy deserved special treatment?
