Romney comes off too rehearsed, and has a record of changing positions - the same thing that turned so many off of John Kerry - the two actually remind me a bit of each other.

That being said, Romney is still a potential GOP front runner. Not sure I would vote for him, but he will be in the mix...

Well the Independents were warned about this guy's radical Socialist agenda so they have only themselves to blame for this mess. Most Americans don't want this oppressive Socialist agenda. Unfortunately we do have to endure three more years of this disastrous Socialist Malaise. This administration really has moved us rapidly towards Third World Misery. Clinton was around 40% approval in 1994. The Democrats in Congress had a 29% approval rating in Jul. 1994.

Obama is currently at 51% and the Democratic Congress is currently at 36%.

Also, I wonder what the approval for congressional Republicans was in 1994.

I know Republican congressional approval is at 27% right now.

Also, except for B-1 Bob Dornan, I don't remember the congressional Repubs having so many Reps in Congress making their party look like a bunch of nuts.

I doubt anyone could have beat just about any democratic candidate. The war was so polarizing, and the downturn of the economy didn't help. Parlay those two reasons, along with the republicans spending money at the rate that they were...they just didn't stand a chance. It was a good time to put up a "liberal conservative(?)". Maybe now they can move on and build from their mistakes. just sayin...
