Obama in the 3rd debate

In the primary season, I was assured by some of the more conservative members of the USM Board that Mitt was actually "ok." I had my doubts. Mitt struck me as a bit too "moderate" which is to say, weak GOP liberal. Old school. Go along to get along.

And when Mitt later said some fairly intelligent conservative sounding things, I thought, "nice, but maybe he's just positioning himself and later on he will move back toward the center."

Now, while it is still clearly possible that the newly minted "conservative" (or more conservative than before) Mitt is doing what I feared (i.e., just paying lip service to whatever position gets him the broadest possible base of voter support in November), I still hear him coming across like a believer in some of the things he says which ring true for conservatives.

And, seriously, no matter HOW much of a conservative he is or is not, he is absolutely preferable to the dyed in the wool liberal/socialist incumbent.

So, for the final almost 2 week push, I am going to give Team Mitt a little financial donation.
