WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama says Washington "feels as broken as it did four years ago," when he took office.
He's most frustrated by the inability "to change the atmosphere" in the capital "to reflect the decency and common sense of ordinary people" who want leaders to solve problems.
He adds "there's enough blame to go around for that."
Obama tells CBS' "Sunday Morning" that there's no doubt that he underestimated how much "politics trump problem-solving."

As he says, there's enough blame to go around, but IMHO the largest chunk of it rests on his shoulders. I do not believe his efforts to bring repubs to the table were sincere; I think his idea of cooperation was to do everything his way, with perhaps a little tweaking here and there to satisfy the opposition. True, the GOP has not been as willing to work with the dems as they might be, so it's not all one-sided. But when you're the president you're supposed to be trying to facilitate cooperation, and IMHO Obama has not done that.
