Obama campaigning for Corzine, but the race is still close. Trouble in la la land.

Obama has been to the state 4 times, including today. Wanna know why, 70% of the people in New Jersey are registered Democrats, they are not happy. Corzine has raised their taxes by 9.8 billion dollars, it is so expensive to live there due to the high taxes that people are moving out of the state in droves. It is estimated that between their federal, state and local taxes they pay as much as 65 to 70% of their incomes. Insane and outrageous. If this keeps up New Jersey will cease to exist.

Obama is worried, he knows that if Corzine loses to Christy that he will lose support from his own party on his health care takeover and his cap and trade plan. Democrats will distance themselves from him and his socialistic policies. I will bet that is also why he has not announced any plans on sending additional troops to Afghanistan, he would not want to upset the liberal base. Christy has a 3 point lead but it is in the margin of error.

Interesting to watch, but when you consider that 70% of New Jersians are democrats, and this race is too close to call, it should send shivers of fear through the extreme leftist loons of the democratic party.

Facing a gubernatorial race in New Jersey that will go down to the wire Tuesday, Gov. Jon Corzine on Saturday brushed off speculation that the election is causing concern for President Obama, who is making an unprecedented number of campaign visits there.

Corzine, who is seeking a second term, told Fox News that Obama's schedule has been set for awhile.

"This is not a last minute decision," he said. "This is a decision that was part of a plan to work together."

Obama has campaigned vigorously for Corzine in the state -- including launching television and radio ads in his support. Obama will make two stops in New Jersey on Saturday and already has campaigned for Corzine twice.

I posted as much a few times on here. Obama isn't waiting for any other election but ours to be done.

Even if Christie loses, the message being sent is loud and clear.

Do you live in New Jersey? I understand it's pretty bad out there.

Its going to be close in NJ.....much closer than it should have been.

Corzine was hated well before Obama became president. Christies lead has diminished from 20% to a dead heat.

A key is that Chris Daggetts numbers are dropping as protest votes move from Daggett to Christie.

The fact that Corzine is even in this is a sad testament to what the opposition holds. Corzine was down by over TWENTY PERCENT not even a few months ago. The mere fact that they are at a dead heat is pathetic.

I never followed polls because well I just don't put much weight into them. They've been proven wrong before so only the election count will matter.

Chris Christie for NJ Governor Christie for New Jersey Governor

I was reading another link, where Obama only drew a crowd of 6,500 people in Camden, that's pretty pathetic when you consider the crowds he used to draw. Hmmmmmmmmmmm, I think the honeymoon is over.

Chris Christie is a scumbag. The fact you support him is a testament to partisanship.

Besides, I know I wouldn't want my state to vote anyone as a Governor who owes their political career to George W. Bush and Karl Rove.

Jersey Girl here. And a public chool teacher. Corzines team has been sending out doom and gloom lies about how Christie hates teachers or some bullshit. No one with half a brain is buying it but unfortunately many of Corzines supporters don't worry about jobs or taxes Papa Jon takes care of them. I fear he will be re-elected. And he's made promises to the immigration advocates. His next term will include scholarships for illegals and universal day care for 3 and 4 year olds at a cost of 12500 per child. Property taxes pay for the schools. Between our four places we pay 25K a year.

Nope, next door in PA.

Its hard for me to imagine that Corzine has even a chance of winning again. Christie had a great record as a prosecutor and put away some real NJ scumbags. But once the guy opened his mouth, he has been totally uninspiring. One of the worst campaigns ever to fritter away such a huge lead.

Despite the fact he has committed several crimes himself too. :eusa_eh:

And that is correct.

What's going to happen to your state when the people who actually work and pay taxes leave that state and move to another. Who is going to support those that are on the dole? It sounds like maybe the Gravy train is going to end soon and I hope it ends for you on Tuesday. $25,000 per year on property taxes for 4 properties, that's $6250 per property, that's absolute insanitiy. I have 3 properties and pay app $3,500 per year on all 3 in the state of Colorado. That means that you pay 6 to 7 times what we pay. I don't think that your incomes are 6 to 7 times higher than ours. One thing I do know I won't be moving to New Jersey any time soon, but unfortunately neither will any business, they can't afford to pay those extremely high property taxes and remain in business. You guys are screwed if something doesn't change out there and change quickly. Good luck and get out and vote.

P. S a little secret here to cheer you up, democrats do not show up in numbers on off year elections, but republicans do.

Just a fact that republican is neck to neck with democrat in a traditionally blue state says that people are not really happy with democrats there.

Traditionally blue except for Governor. NJ hates its governors, always have.

Tom Kean was one of the most popular Governors ever. Christie Whitman also did well. We tend to cycle through governors like dirty laundry.

I'm not in NJ, but I've heard tell that Christie has run a stupid campaign. No dealing with costs. No specifics. That is why many of us former GOP's refuse to return.

Don't get me wrong, I do hope anyone beats Corzine, he's an abomination, but wtf couldn't the GOP find someone worthy of taking his place?

Corzine was completely caught off guard that the voters defeated publicly funded stem cell research. His friends had all been offered jobs. Some say that may have been the final straw for CA.

Wouldn't surprise me if he tries to push it again.

Republicans are a mess in NJ. Christie has been groomed for some time now as Governor in waiting. The best alternative the republicans had was Steve Lonnegan a right wing conservative. Lonnegan is not the most dynamic or photogenic. He got buried in the primary
