everywhere and nowhere
MSNBC on for a few minutes out of boredom and there's this show on, Hardball. They're interviewing some republican congress man (I missed the name) and the interview pretty much goes like this:
[they're discussing cutting back o government waste and the growth of the Fed versus the constitutionally limited system set up by the FF)
Host: So are you going to do away with medicare? It's pure socialism![yes, he's screaming the entire time]
Guest: Nobody's suggested doing away with medicare. What we were discussing was-
Host: Yes or no?!
Guest: No, I told you, nobody's suggesting that?
Host: Would you do away with it, yes or no? Why can't you answer the question?
Guest: I'm answering your question. As I said-
host: Would you have voted for medicare?
Guest: as it was written and as the last resort it was created as, yes, I would have supported it
host: Then why not do away with the age limit
guest: [confused]
host: the trepublicans opposed medicare, or did noone fill you in?

If this is the way they usually operate, it's no wonder they're tanking... Ask the same stupid question, ignore the answer, then attack the guest for not towing the party line? wtf?!

You never watched MSNBC before? Thats fairly normal. I've seen it on CNN and FOX also but not nearly as often.

I like watching the MSNBC Panels when they have 3 democrats and the host gang up on one republican. That stuff is great enetertainment, not informative or news but very entertaining.

Well, it works for O'Reilly. The host on MSNBC must not be as charismatic as O'Falafel to get away with it.

The partisan talking heads (AKA disinformation specialists) on both sides of the equasion aren't about informing the public.

Their job is to titillate the partisans, to provoke their prejudices and stroke their conceits to make them feel good about their partisan choices.

You should watch 'Meet The Press' today, nice panel about healthcare the full hour. 2 dem sto repubs, should be good.

Its on now.

I Tivo it so I'm watching something else now, but will watch it later.

I watch Fox almost exclusively. I think they are my best source for news. However, with that said, I do have some problem with the way they often present issues. Whatever the issue, they will have one person who favors it and one person who does not favor it. They begin to discuss the issue and it always ends up with the two people verbally fighting and trying to talk over each other. In the long run, you don't get a good opinion about either side of the issue from either guest because they are both being dopes. It's pretty much the same for all the other news shows on tv too. Just a matter of which channel you want to watch the fights on...

You really believe this stuff don't you?

Are there such fights on abc, nbc and/or cbs morning and nightly news as well?

A person that watches fox exclusively for t he specific intent of getting their news is a lost cause. These are the people that are Tea-Baggers, Deathers, Biirth-Certificers (sp) and now are the self-proclaimed "Obamacare" protesters that go to town hall meetings with the sole intent of disruptting the process and shouting down their reprsentives and others.

He wasn't screaming, he was playing hardball. These reps just find it difficult to answer the questions and this one in particular was telling Matthews to calm down. That would piss anyone off.

You don't calm down on Hardball...

Besides Matthews is one of the best interviewers around. Not his fault of the guy couldn't keep up.

Wow... They really got to you, huh? Do you really believe all of this horseshit you're spewing out or just trying to be funny? Those are some pretty fucked up ideas...:cuckoo:

Fact: FOXNews is an anti-Obama anti-Democrat, anti-Left media conglomerate thats intent on fear and hatemongering anything the above have to do with or try to accomplish. One Right-Wing specifically said "they want to kill Obama's presidency" "this will be his waterloo" they wanted him gone before he even started. Von Susterran and Hannity commonly quote and even invite the likes of Rush Limbaugh, who's said BEFORE Obama's term started that he wants obama to FAIL.

It doesn't get any more partisan or clearer than that.

If that is your chosen ONLY source of news and information...you are a lost cause, a Far-Rightwing Nut. Case closed.

BTW, I watch O'Reilly, Hannity and Von Susteran every day, for going on two straight years now, so I know what I'm talking about.

That's all it takes for the burden of proof nowadays? Cool.

We've watched you for 100+ posts and have concluded that you are an idiot. And we know what we're talking about too since we've been watching you.

Have you not noticed that many of the posters that came from the MSNBC board post in the exact same way?

Fact:

The above post was made by a hyper partsian and is in fact borderline delussional if not already there.

Nah, its just a partisan screamfest. The hosts purposefully try and book people whom they perceive as weak debaters so that it makes them look smart and helps prop up whatever premise they are backing.

Matthews, Hannity, Olbermann, O'Reilly....they all use the same tactic.

Christ Matthews doesn't scream, he's assertive and aggressive, but he does not scream.

Bill O'Reilly, sceamer.
Sean Hannity, hmmm...he just gets into hissy fits, not so much a screamer, more of a deep, constant moaner.
Glenn Beck, she's a cryer, gets hyper-emotional at the slightest touch or mention.

These are the supposed "he-men" of the Far Right.
