These are translated from Dutch, so not everything is logical
as far as rhythm and grammar is concerned.

However, it has been a big hit over here,
And the lyrics are nice, so I thought I'd drop it here.

"Boudewijn de Groot - Avond" (=evening)
Now you never need to put on your jacket anymore,
Nor worry if your light is working
Let the storms rage outside in the dark,
For inside it’s warm and bright and good.

Hand in hand staring outside, where the rain is pouring,
I see the fire of hope and doubt in your eyes,
And I know your deepest fears.

Because you cannot be certain about anything,
    And everything passes,
    But I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe,
    In you and me.

And in the morning when you rise, I’ll be with you,
Maybe I’ve already made some tea.
And when the sun shines outside, we’ll go walk in the dunes,
And when it rains, we’ll go back to bed.

Waking slowly for hours, floating through time,
I see the light through the curtains,
And I know, the past does not give certainty,

Because you cannot be certain about anything,
    And everything passes,
    But I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe,
    In you and me.

    But I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe,
    In you and me.

I put out the lights, and the room turns dark,
A street lantern outside provides some light.
And the things in the room turn into friends that go to bed,
The chairs are waiting for breakfast.

And in the morning I’ll wake with the scents of bread and honey,
The light of golden sunlight in your hair.
And the things in the room, I’ll wish them a good night,
Tonight we’re going to sleep, and tomorrow we’ll see.
But the things in the room would be lifeless things, without you.

And you cannot be certain about anything,
    And everything passes,
    But I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe,
    In you and me.

And you cannot be certain about anything,
    And everything passes,
    But I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe,
    In you and me.

    I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe,
    In you and me.
