Newsweek: Obama is Poised to be as Significant as Reagan

If Obama wins, to put it bluntly, he will become the Democrats’ Reagan. The narrative writes itself. He will emerge as an iconic figure who struggled through a recession and a terrorized world, reshaping the economy within it, passing universal health care, strafing the ranks of al -Qaeda, presiding over a civil-rights revolution, and then enjoying the fruits of the recovery.

Interesting observations.

And Andrew Sullivan, who wrote the piece, is a Conservative.
Meaningless.

The problem with the "Conservative Revolution" is that "conservative" really doesn't mean anything. It's a fashionable term, so they all try to position themselves as "conservatives."

A few examples should suffice. William F. Buckley is a conservative. He has written that the War on Drugs is an immoral and unjust abuse of governmental power and an infringement on our constitutional rights. William Bennett is also a conservative, and he the only thing wrong with the War on Drugs is that they haven't locked up enough people yet.

Phil Gramm is a conservative, and he believes in free trade. Patrick Buchanan is a conservative, and he believes in protective tariffs and other trade restrictions.

Let's Retire The Word 'conservative,' Since It Means Nothing

I agree with the part you quoted. The economy is improving and no matter who's in the white house, it will continue to improve. If Obama wins main stream America will forget his failures and only remember that he was the man in the chair for what many have started calling "The Great Recession". He will spend the res of his life being the democrats Reagan and a thorn in the GOP's side.

LOL, Obama could only Dream of being a Reagan...He would have to find a heart first

my gawd, they hate Reagan in one breath and them make Obama out to be LIKE HIM

you have to laugh

Obama WILL NEVER be a Reagan

Reagan didn't hate the country he was President of where he thought it needed, Transforming

Reagan was the worst president we ever had. What an insulting article.

lol..

that's b/c it's written by a republican. but as much as i thought reagan was a horrible president and is single-handledly responsible for allowing the radical religious right their foothold in the GOP, he did make certain changes in our country and left a very large footprint.

why he did is an entirely different question.
