Obviously, you are not a thinking type person, nor do you have an inquisitive mind, nor are you capable of doing your own analysis, and coming to your own conclusions....you talk about others being "paid shills" and from the moment you arrived here, this very thing of being a paid, non thinking shill, is what I figured you were, the way you just regurgitate what you are told to say, by your right wing gods....your Mamons.too bad for your prediction since it is trending downward....!!!when it is 45 million receiving them, it is not nearly 50 million, it's simply 45 million!!!!Uhm, no.
45.5 does not round to 50. 45.5 rounds to 46. 46 is not 50 and 46 is also not "almost 50".
It's simple math, almost simple enough for a Rightie to grasp.
Title is STILL "Nearly 50"
It's nearly 50MM and will probably be way more than that when Obama finally leaves office
it is nothing short of hysterical that idiot leftists want to brag about something UP by THIRTEEN MILLION from when Bush was in office is finally "trendin downward" at the end of obama's SEVENTH YEAR.
There were 17 million food stamp recipients when President Bush took office, and during one of the biggest economic booms that our country has had, with unemployment averaging only around 5%, food stamp recipients went to 25 million people by 2005 and then to nearly 30 million by the time he left office...it rose by 74.6% under the Bush Presidency.
Do the numbers....from 30 million to a peak of 47 million is a 57% increase in annual food stamp recipients, during the biggest and most grave, economic downfall since the Great Depression!
So, as Historians analyze this, by the factual numbers, and surrounding economic times, President Obama will not be graded badly on his numbers with food stamps, however President Bush could be, for his GREATER percentage increase in SNAP recipients during a relatively strong economy, a housing boom, and relatively low unemployment, during most of his terms....until Humpty Dumpty came falling down.
